A RENDEZVOUS TO REMEMBER
They say the eyes are the gateway into a person's heart and soul and never before had this statement been more true to Aurelia.
His idiosyncratic eyes were a pale green; so pale they looked almost grey, but the depth behind them was unmistakable, going deeper and deeper into his soul, the way the sea got as it preceeded from the shore to the deeper ends.
His lips were full and wide. They were so pink and fresh they looked pure - God-like even; lips soft to the touch of another pair of lips; sometimes gentle, sometimes rough, but always passionate.
His smile was truly beautiful; the real, golden, thousand megawatt smile he gave when he was truly happy; the smile that lit up a thousand skies and galaxies; the smile that still would have been glowing in all its full teethed glory, even if all around them everything was falling apart; the smile that made her heart bloom and made her happy, but most importantly - the smile that made her smile too.
It was these three things that first made her fall for him. Daniel Paige had the power of capturing anyone's heart within a millisecond and Aurelia Summers had the aura of capturing someone's fascination within seconds.
Though Aurelia didn't look it, she still had the heart of a love sick puppy and counted each day spent with him.
Daniel counted the days too, though he would never admit it in fear of degrading his masculinity; though he needn't have bothered, since he certainly wasn't ill equipped in that department.
They were currently at a deserted beach. There were hardly any people there in the light of day, seeing as it was a small beach almost at the outskirts of a slightly bigger town. And now that it was midnight, there was not a single person in sight, except for the two of them; just two souls who recognized each other the way the sun recognized the moon, the way two pieces of magnet found their way to each other, or the way two puzzle pieces fit perfectly together.
The way two lovers' would.
There was something romantic about the beach. The darkness and the eerie silence of the night, except for the calm voice of the waves hitting the rocks, which sounded like music to their ears, and the moon and the stars cloaking the earth like a warm blanket at night, somehow provided the perfect safe haven for the two of them.
Walking along the shore, along with the periodic return of the waves hitting their ankles, Aurelia thought about Daniel and herself. Right now, at this moment, there was nowhere else she would rather be. Right now, at midnight, under the moon, walking along the beach with her hands entwined with the person she loved the most in the world; she thought about how lucky she was for having encountered the miracle that was Daniel Paige and having the privilege of loving and being loved by him.
"Do you have any idea how much I love you?" He whispered from behind her, his lips forming a playful smirk, breaking her reverie of thoughts.
Aurelia turned around, her gaze immediately falling upon his indescribably perfect face, or so she thought.
"No. How much do you love me?" She asked mischievously, giggling a little.
"This much?" He questioned, keeping the palms of his hands facing each other with a little space in between them.
"I don't know about you, but that's not enough to gain a kiss from me."
He increased the space in between the palms of his hands. "Okay. What about this much?" He had a huge, stupid, contagious grin across his face, spreading from one cheek to another.
"You can get a kiss from me Daniel, but nothing more."
He stretched his arms to their full extent; his arms stretched out at either sides of his body.
