KURT'S POV
"Nathan, get the fuck back in here or I swear to god, I'm going to fish your eyeballs out with a fucking fork." I growled in annoyance, as Nathan tried to sneak away and ditch me into babysitting our neighbor's children.
"Hell no! They're the spawns of Satan himself, and I still got to have my date with Cassie and Emma!" He groaned in response, as I yanked his collar and threw him back to my bed. Wow, didn't know I had that much strength in me.
Nathan and I both flopped down on my bed, watching the two demons fight over a book or something. My head cringed, as I heard something like glass shatter. Then the two twins started screaming at each other. I didn't really care anymore, especially since that incident yesterday..
"Jesse and Courtney, please seat down. Then apologize to your Uncle Kurt." Our heads snapped to the sound of Lander's authoritative voice from the door. He, with all grace in him, walked and sat down on my sofa chair, making himself comfortable then proceeded to read a book. The twins immediately stopped their antics and piped down.
"I'm really starting to think you'd make a great mom." I sat from the bed as I smiled sheepishly at Lander. He scowled at me, before returning to read the book again.
"Uncle Kurt, we have something to tell you." I looked down, only to see the 5 year old twins making such adorable faces at me. Ha, think that'll work? Think again.
"W-we're sorry.." Jesse bowed his head down shamefully.
"We didn't mean to rip your book apart.." Courtney started to wail. My body instinctively went to hug the two kids. Fuck. I'm no match for this at all.

Hold that thought, what book?
"Kurt, what's this?" Nathan's voice suddenly called me from under my bed. I scooped the twins up in my arms, as I looked over to see what Nathan was talking about.
He held the object in mid-air, as he swayed it in front of me. This is..
"Your yearbook, I presume, back in LVD?" Lander raised his eyebrow at our direction. Time momentarily froze, as I tried to comprehend what just happened.
"We're sorry.." Courtney started to sob in the cranny of my neck. I put the twins down, as I grabbed my yearbook from Nathan. It had many ripped off pages, but couldn't care less. I was just concerned about..

It's gone.
"Jesse, Courtney, was there anything that fell here before this happened?" I asked kindly, not wanting to scare them with my uneasiness of the fact it's not here.
"Nu-uh, we didn't see anything.." Jesse and Courtney exchanged glances at each other, which clearly told me they were hiding something. I cleared my throat.
"Like, anything? You really didn't see anything?"
"..."
"Well?"
"..We..um.." Courtney tried to speak with her sobs.
"S-something fell out while we were fighting over the pretty colored book.. I accidentally k-knocked over a vase, then it shattered and the thing got wet because of the spilled water.." Jesse spoke up for Courtney.
"May I see the it?" I asked, this time a little bit rushed, as I wouldn't be able to take it to see it destroyed.
Jesse took the object from Courtney, shakily handing out to me. I could feel Lander and Nathan's gaze over me, as I uncovered the wet photo and put it gently on my palm.
