Recap:

"Vincent, where are we going?" I asked him. His only reply was staring blankly at the road until we came to a stop. At a cemetery.

"I want you to meet someone..."

He lead me towards a grave, in cursive that read 'Here Lies April Edwards, so Young and so Innocent. We'll All Miss Your Fiery Spirit.'

His sister. He took me to 'meet' his little sister at her grave. I looked at him and saw Vincent the most vulnerable that I've ever seen him. He sat beside the grave and gently touched it, he held back tears that were threatening to spill.

"hey Panda bear, sorry I haven't visited you in a while...there's someone you should meet, her name is Scarlett and I think you'd like her." he said to the grave, it was as if he was talking to his little sister. He turns towards me waiting for me to greet myself.

"hi April, um I'm Scarlett...it's nice to meet you," I say with a smile. It soon fades when I see Vincent's upset face, he looks so sad. I reached for his hand and gave him a gentle squeeze.

"she was so young, I-I couldn't protect her," he mumbles quietly, I was about to say something when he continued," it was three years ago, I was a dumb 14 year old kid. April had just turned nine years old, I told her to wait outside while I got her gift out of the car. It was a jewelry making kit, she loved making things for people so I wanted to give her a gift she'd use a lot. When I turned my back to head towards the car, some assholes came speeding by and shot at us. I ducked and ran towards April. She got hit in the shoulder and chest, later she died at the hospital..it was all my fault..." he sobbed at the end, I pulled him into a hug trying to calm him down.

"it's not your fault, it was the drivers fault.." I said softly.

"no, it's my fault she was out there and my fault he shot at us!" he cried. What did he do to that guy?

"me, Adam, Chase and Ryder wanted to have our own little 'gang'. We got into a fight with a gang that said we were in their 'territory'. It started with a few pranks here and there. One of our pranks got out of hand and we ended up burning down Aidan's gang hang out...we set up fireworks in a box and when they'd open it they'd explode. We wanted at least their eyebrows to burn off, but a couple got towards the building and..." he didn't need to tell me what happened next. How could things get so bad because of some stupid fight about 'territory?'

"I try hard everyday to forgive myself but I miss her, she was my little fireball..." he just looked down at his hands and I honestly didn't know how to take in all that.

"Vincent, April wouldn't want you to blame yourself. It hurts me seeing you like this..." I mumbled the last part, hopefully they hadn't heard me.

We spent about ten more minutes there just looking at the young girl's grave. We left a small bouquet of small lilacs which apparently were aprils favorite. On the road for a good five minutes Vincent spoke.

"okay, I think it's time I introduce you to my friends..." he said and I felt very nervous. His friends...the schools 'bad boys', oh god. A wave of questions exploded in my mind. What if they don't like me? What if I make a fool out of myself? They'll probably hate me....Ok breathe in, breathe out!

'calm the fuck down' my subconscious told me.

Vincent told me we were going to Chase's house since that was where everyone was at. When we entered the large house I felt most of my nervousness fade away.

"hey bro, sup Scar." the tall one Adam said.

"hi Adam, its great to meet you," I smile at him.

"it's great to meet the girl that Vince here, hasn't shut up about! You have no idea how much he talks about you." he said with a smirk. I blushed a deep red and Vincent shot him a glare. Vincent...talks about me? I wonder what he says...

"Honey, I'm home!" a voice boomed into the house. Ryder came into the room and engulfed me into a bear hug. I stood there awkwardly trying to move from his grip. Laughter filled the room at my discomfort.

"okay, that's enough, Ryder let go of my girlfriend," he said and I was released from the most awkwardest hug ever.

I finally processed what Vincent said. Girlfriend...I liked the way his voice says it. A soft shudder went down my spine. Am I his girlfriend? I mean, he hasn't officially asked me...

"and I see you've met Ryder..." Chase says from the kitchen. He enters and sits down next to a girl. She has the same hazel-green eyes as him," and this pretty girl here, is my sister Jamie."

"uh...hey," she says while putting her soft blonde-brownish curly hair out of her face. I guess she can be a little shy around new people.

"hi, it's nice to meet you." I smile at her.

"I think having another girl here will be fun for lil' Jay here," Adam said and ruffled her hair...big mistake to do to a girl.

"Don't. Ever. Touch. My. Hair." she hissed and untangled her hair. Adam looked about ready to laugh. All of a sudden I hear a loud crash and Adam is on the ground. I gasped in shock, she flipped him over her head!

"Adam keeps forgetting that she's taken martial arts since she was six.." Ryder said with a chuckle. On the floor Adam groaned in pain.

"I've lived with these Neanderthals my entire life, you have to defend yourself," she tells me with a laugh.

"it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Chase," he says and extends his hand to meet mine. He grabs it and before I knew it...he places a kiss on the top of my hand. It reminds me of my first day of school when I met Oliver. I quickly took my hand back and slightly blushed. Chase just laughs and smirks a little.

I take a seat on the couch and Jamie sits down next to me," sorry about my brother, he can be a bit...strange."

"it's alright, he reminds me of one of my friends..speaking of them, I think you should meet them. You'd like them." I tell her. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and saw I had an incoming call.

I am so sorry for the late update! I've just been real busy, but I'll try to update every week. The other day I saw over 260 reads!? That's freakin insane!! Y'all are awesome! Um..
