I waited outside the front doors as I stood among the eagerly crowded people that waited to get in the venue.
The cold soon gotten worse, I stood nervously, tightening my fists inside my pockets trying to warm up. A terrible feeling soon swirled in my stomach like the feeling of butterflies inside but it was even worse, like roaring elephants were stomping in my stomach. So bad that I actually wanted to pee.
"I'm so excited for this concert!" The girl beside shouted, her blasted voice almost felt like their were going to bust my ear drums deaf.
I shift alittle to my right, trying my hardest as possible to get away from her, but it seemed unlikely with the gaggle of people around here. Crossing my arms in hand I sigh deeply as few people looked my way. I smile swiftly and look down nervously.
Few of them chattered among themselves, talked on their phones and others obviously tried to be cool by smoking with smirks on their faces as they leaned against the venue's walls.
The strong smoke filled my nostrils, I nearly gag.
After twenty minutes of standing in the line alone; in the cold. A few shouts and yells were heard followed with a loud noise, then the doors were finally opened.
One by one the people handed in their tickets, it was soon my turn.
"Your ticket" a stern looking man stood in the door way. His intimidating tattooed muscular arms crossed as another lady probably in her mid thirties stood beside him smiling.
"Um," I breathe in deeply feeling my chest shudder. I stood awkwardly as the people behind stood impatiently.
Almost in a whisper I say, "I'm Anna, I don't know if..." I lean closer trying to keep my voice in private.
"Ohhh, Anna!" He immediately cuts me off, his serious look quickly clears off, "Of course, come. Follow Karen" he brings his hand to my shoulder guiding me to the women beside him. I was actually surprised.
"Come with me" Karen takes me by arm, pulling me aside as we walked into a dark corridor in the back. I take in the site, you would have expected the walls to be dirty and paint chipping off because of other bands in the past for thrashing the place, but it was the exact opposite. The walls were black with a light paint of white on the high ends of the wall. Everyhting semi clean.
I nearly trip as we pass a door labeled, 'Miles Kane', but she seem to not notice. I look back, wondering if he's there now.
"Here" she grabs something off her clipboard, revealing a small bird tattooed on her wrist. She hands me an I.D badge. "With this you'll be able to go backstage"
"Back stage?" my voice bearly could cooperate with me.
She nodded and pulled up her glasses tightly to her nose. "Yes, here"
We both turn around facing the main floor followed a high stage in front. Few guys were setting up the equipment, and my eyes instantly fall on the name of Miles.
"Well, I better get going. Have fun tonight" She says with a light embrace on my arm and leaves.
I don't move, in fact I couldn't. Seeing the place slowly filling the venue brought me chills. I was in a Miles Kane concert. It was incredible I know I sounded cheesey but even to myself I was excited. Sheepishly I smile to myself and walk in the middle of the crowd, I bump into a few people as I stand.
