"Adrian"

What new hell was I going to I thought desperately, as I looked at the man who had just bought me. True... he did save my life, but what would he want in return.....my rambling thoughts were interrupted as he said, "What is your name girl?"From my kneeling position on the floor I peered up at him..."Li-Lia Winters." You could have heard a pin drop in the silence that followed. His grey eyes swept over me, his gaze indifferent. My heart was pounding so hard it hurt, but I kept my face still and showed no fear. I glance at the girls who were hugging each other in fear, I could see the worry in their eyes, but I felt nothing. Why couldn't I just die? All I wanted was to end my miserable existence.

"Why would you do something so utterly stupid?" He said. In a voice that made me feel like I was worthless. "I don't know." I mumbled. "Oh but you do," he retorted mockingly. "I feel so badly for you, but today is not your day to die." After saying that he turned away and motioned to the girls, "Come, what are your names?""Dylen and Diamond, sir" replied Diamond. "Well girls, are you friends with Lia here?" "Yes sir!" they replied. "And would you like to come with Lia?" " I promise no more nights working out on the street." he said in a coaxing voice.

I listened to their dialogue frozen, it was hard to imagine a place worse than where we were, but I had a bad feeling in my gut that the future would only get worse if they came with me. "Don't say yes" I pleaded internally, and when Dylen looked my way I shook my head, no, but I hadn't stopped shaking my head when I heard Diamond say, "Sir, you saved my friends life, if there is anyway I can repay you." He gave and indifferent shrug at her seductive voice. "How much for these two?" he asked the woman. "They make me good profit, I can't just sell them," she whined. "Here is $2,000 if that is not agreeable to you, talk to Davis here," he chuckled coldly, waving to his bodyguard. The man was about 6'5 and looked like he was all muscle. "No," she squeaked. "That is what I thought." He replied. " Let's go."

We got into a black SUV among jealous glances from the other girls. I did not feel lucky. The pit in my stomach just seemed to be getting worse with each passing minute, but at the moment there was no other option so I straightened my back, composed myself, and repeated my mantra over and over.

About an hour later the car came to a stop, "You two out!" commanded Davis, motioning to Di and Dylen. They scrambled out of the car, and stood in front of him. "One of you is going to go with her," he pointed to me, "And one of you is coming with me. The on who comes with me will be living like a princess, walk in closet, a maid, etc. all that will be asked of her is that she be available to the guards, whenever they want, for whatever they want. The other will go with Lia..fate unknown." I watched frozen, what the heck was going on? Di said, "I'll." "She is going with Lia," burst in Dylen. "I am sick of hanging out with these bitches! pretending to be sick is really hard work." My expression mirrored Diamonds...wtf. "I have had a nice rest, I can give some in return for a bit of luxury." "Well lets go." Davis said. A slight frown settling on his stoic face. "See ya..or not bitches." Dyl smirked. I reached out and clung to Di, "What..she wasn't sick?" She turned to me a worried look on her face, "You know that the bit I pulled before was all for show right, I would never...I ...I can't even talk, I think I am going into shock." "Survival of the schemiest huh," I laughed woodenly. "We will be fine. Don't worry."

She got back into the car and a couple minutes later the car came to a stop in front of a secure set of gates. it reminded me of a prison. When we got down, the landscape around us was dreary, all shades of grey and brown, the building in front of us was square, large, and grey. It looked like a prison. "Don't worry, ladies," Adrian's smooth voice said from behind us. We jumped. "You will not be seeing much of the outside for a while, maybe never again. But enough of this dull conversation let's go inside."

**** 2 Weeks Later ********

My body had fully recovered, physically there wasn't a trace of the months of torture it had endured. Over the past couple of weeks at Location Red I had eaten a well-balanced diet, my bones had once more become covered in flesh. I was by no means fat, my trainer made sure of that. I loved working out I punched out all my feelings, but in spite of how great my body was doing my mind was an entirely different story. If I didn't take the sleeping pills I was given, I wouldn't sleep a wink. My mind rehashed over and over haunting images from my months on the street and in the container. I only saw Diamond at Dinner. From what I gathered she was being trained just like me.

We were eating dinner just me and her, like we did every day. "So, what do you think Dylen is doing?" she said slowly. I looked up, pain sweeping over me as I remembered her. "Probably keeping up her end of the bargain." I replied, disgusted. "How is your morning Mandarin coming along?" I asked changing the subject. "Great," she grinned. "All those weird sounds are finally starting to form words." I laughed, "Same here." we continued to make light chitchat, but I kept asking myself what are we doing here? I couldn't help it, I had learned the hard way that nothing comes for free, so what was the price we were going to have to pay for this, for the very meal before us.
