I felt annoyed.

The man sitting next to me reading a book, while I stared off into space, sat next to me a little to smug. I was condemned to bed rest until authorized otherwise. It had been three days since he had brought me here and two days since I've been able to leave the bed, without careful watch. Reborn had taking to studying me. Like a new specimen he had found. Everything he did was to see what would make me react. He would point dangerous weapons at me, threaten me, call me names, etc. however I never responded. The closet thing he got to a response was my witty remarks.

My mind however ran back to my mother, Takeshi and Tsuyoshi. I thought about how they shared similarities and that as a child, had only memories of them. My mind went blank on anyone else who I've ever known besides Iemitsu. Who I would rather forget. But as it seems my memories have started to return. Some happy and sad and others just plain out miserable.

The only memories I have of growing up in the underworld. Surrounded by mafia, gangs, druggies and assassin. Everything all together that could scare a person. Everything that would of have broken someone. Me. I've lost the sense of fright almost completely when around these kind of people. Fear still envied its way into my heart, however it was void in these situations and only showed towards emotional scars.

This man however is different, but the same in ways as others. First of all he was a Hitman. A highly payed assassin or spy for some cases. What ever payed the most. Then there was the smug attitude, but in his situation, I think I can associate that as a trait he's developed. One trait that made him annoying. He was somewhat caring but only when it suits him, as far as I can see. He wouldn't hesitate to kill, a very defined trait to have, when dealing with the business he's in. A very dangerous one indeed. The man carried a high sense of pride as well. All in all, a very respected killing machine.

I stared over at him, through the corner of my eye, taking in the sight of Reborn reading. He had his leg crossed over the other, while his left arm was slung over his lap dangling to he side. His other arm was held up in the air holding the hardback book up to eye level.

"It's not polite to stare" he announced out of complete silence, never once removing his eyes from the book.

"It's not polite to kidnap" I retorted back. He looked up at me with the gleam of amusement back in his eyes. He looked me over in a calculating stare. One that showed nothing. He looked emotionless in all aspect. Every bit, except that slight glimmer of amusement. I looked a little longer, maybe more then I should have because I had seen the curiosity that formed in his eyes. He wanted answers and I wasn't going to give them so easily.

Reborn shut the book without even glancing at the page. He stood up, towering over me, with a looming shadow almost. The light from outside shined through the room with a calmness, even when it gleamed onto Reborn causing a shadow to form on the wall.

I looked up at the hitman without any expression. He stared down at me with equal amount of not caring on his face.

"The shower is across the hall from this room. You are to get one. Luce will be up with a fresh pair of cloths and bandages to tend to your wounds...." he said.
