They drew their swords ready to in defend themselves. “Lord Ramsey what should we do, there are too many of them” Grant asked
“We best fight in open grounds. There are too many innocent lives at risk here, we should fight outside” Ramsey suggested.
The six of them charged through the double door and then past the gates. The guards at the gate tried to stop them but were quickly knocked down by Ramsey.
The king and knights chased after them to the outside. Lorraine and Wylie followed too.
“YOUR HIGHNESS LET US EXPLAIN!” Hugo demanded.
One after another, the Knights lunged themselves forward, attacking the six of them.
“DIE YOU DEMON!” one of the knight shouted.
Ramsey blocks the attack with his chipped saber but did not want to hurt his fellow comrades.
The others were trying their best to defend against the barrage of attacks. Tens of swords were raining down onto them. Like a bolt of lightning, Ramsey quickly fends them off.
The king who witnessed the ghoul combatting the knights can’t help but feel something familiar about those superb sword techniques he displayed.
He drew his own sword from the sheath. The king’s sword made a ringing sound as it left the sheath, as if it could cut you just by hearing it.
He pointed his sword at Ramsey as he slowly walked down the stairs.
“I don’t know who you are ghoul but this very spot here will be your grave today!”
“The five of you have chosen to side with a ghoul and disrupt the peace of this country, your actions are inexcusable.”
“YOUR HIGHNESS, PLEASE LISTEN TO US! YOU CANNOT TRUST . . .”
“SILENCE!!!!” the king hush them.
Ramsey and the king clashed swords. The king swiftly aims for his neck, slashing in a horizontal motion. Ramsey bend downwards to dodge the fatal attack. The king then aims for his legs.
Ramsey rapid spins into the air like a tornado and before landing down with a heavy blow from above. The king blocks the attack with the side of his blade, and then bounces back. He dashes to the side and then to Ramsey once again, aiming for vital spots.
Their clashes sent turbulence through the air.
“AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!”
Clank!
The saber and the sword clashed. The king snarled at Ramsey nose to nose as they wrestle with their blades.
The spirits inside Ramsey spoke out, “STOP BEING SUCH A STUBBORN KING AND LISTEN TO WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY. THIS BOY STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU IS LORD RAMSEY!”
The king’s eyes opened wide, he loosened his grip on the sword and slowly stepped back, analyzing the ghoul.
A chill ran down Lorraine’s spine. She was unsure if what she heard was true. The whole crowd let out of a cry of disbelief. Then there was a moment of silence.
The king narrowed his eyes and arched his eyebrows in. He was skeptical of what he was told. King Brunswick looked at Ramsey from head to toe.
The sky grew dark. Black clouds started to gather around and the wind felt moist.
At the top of the stairs, behind the king, Ramsey saw a glowing light. From Ramsey’s instincts he quickly charges at the king. The king startled, took a step back and tried to raise his sword to defend.
