Allison was awoken by her mother the next morning. She had a maid come to her with a luxurious breakfast-in-bed, but Allison declined it.  She hadn't liked being rich. Her parents didn't care about her grades or if she was being a good person, they just cared that she went to school in the best clothes and hairdo that was possible. On the other hand, Allison cared about schoolwork and the type of person she was.

"Aunt Caroline is here!" Mother exclaimed.
Aunt Caroline lived in Atlanta.  She looked a lot like Allison. She was 26 years old and moved when her mom became a snobby lady.

"You aren't going to school today," Aunt Caroline said while feeling Ali's head.

She had come to the conclusion that She had a fever, but Ali kept telling her That she was fine.

Ali felt sick, but hadn't seen Evan in 3 days and missed him.  With Aunt Caroline in town, She couldn't ask my mom if She could "go out with friends" or so She'd say.

Evan texted her repeatedly and Allison almost had got the caught more than once.

"Hey, honey. I saw this boy outside looking for you...care to tell me what's going on?" Aunt Caroline said.

Her mother's head had turned quickly. She thought she knew everything about Ali, but she just knew a little about her.

"What did he look like? Name? Description?" Mother asked curiously.

"Brown hair. Junky clothes as your mom would call it. Kinda cute. Seemed concerned. Boyfriend material if you know what I mean..." Aunt Caroline said while wiggling her eyebrows and shoulders.

"Junky clothes! That's is not boyfriend material!" Mother shouted.

"HE ISN'T JUNKY!" Allison shouted while throwing a pillow onto the floor.

"So you know him...?" Mother said. "No way. Stay away from him. He'll ruin your reputation."

"HE IS MY BOYFRIEND!" Allison shouted with tears forming up in her eyes.

"Excuse me? He has junky clothes! You can do better than that...let me rephrase...you will do better than that!"

"Let's calm down guys," Aunt Caroline said nervously.

"HE MEANS THE WORLD TO ME. HE ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT ME...UNLIKE YOU.  MONEY IS MORE OF YOUR CHILD THAN I AM!"  Ali shouted.

She grabbed a bag off of the floor and stormed out.

She found Evan hiding in a bush. He wasn't emotional, he wasn't sensitive or even dramatic...but he was crying. To hear a grown adult pick on you must hurt, Ali thought to herself.

"Looks like you have to choose, your family or me. It's an easy pick, family is family. I'm just a waste of time, just a poor boy," Evan said.

"Choose? My family or you?  You're really asking me to do that right now?" Ali said with hand motions.

"Ali I need to know now. My parents want to move, I said no. They asked me what's keeping me here and I said my school friends. If I lose you then I move. It's as simple as that."

"Looks like I have two different roads to choose from..."
