My First Day of Highschool

My alarm rings over and over again. It's so annoying. I reach my arm over to my bedside table to try and reach my alarm. I hit my alarm clock one good time and it stopped. I groaned as I pulled the covers over my eyes slowly as the sun beamed through the window from above my bed. I slowly rose out of my bed. I opened my eyes that are filled with exhaustion. I stretched at the same time that I yawned and floped back on my pillow. I turn my gaze toward my alarm clock to see that time is moving fast. "It's already 6:10." I said as i quickly got out of bed and ran to the bathroom connected to my bedroom. I looked in my big glass mirror and looked specifically at my hair and face. "I need to fix this fast. My hair needs to be fixed and so does the look on my face." I quickly took off my clothes and rushed into the shower. After a few minutes I got out and rushed into my room. I frantically looked through clothes as I tossed them out of my drawers and closet as my green bath towel stayed fittingly around my chest. Finally after minutes of searching I found the perfect outfit for my first day at St. Flows Academy. It's a boarding school to help kids become technology engineer, tech researchers and so on.  I start living there tomorrow so after school I get to come home. But I'm still in trouble so I don't have my cell phone. Mom has to give it to me since I'm going all the way to Syracuse for a long time. I get dressed quickly then I head back to the bathroom and faced the mirror and take out my grease and brush for my hair. I decide to go all natural today so I put some grease in my hair and finger comb through my black and dark brown curly hair. I wash the grease off of my hands and take out my facial cream from my makeup pouch and apply it to my face. When i look in the mirror my face looks moisturized and refreshed. I pull out my chapstick and apply it to my lips. I pucker my lips and look at them in the mirror to make sure I didn't miss a spot. I check the time on my alarm clock. "6:25, perfect timing." I look in my closet and grab two shopping bags. One bag had my brand new book bag and the other had some of my school supplies. "Hm.... I don't think I really need to bring this stuff, after all today me and any other students attending St. Flow will be given a full tour of our new school. I guess I don't really need to talk to a lot of people since my sisters coming with me. I kneel down and look threw my supplies to make sure I'm not missing anything. I get up and walk over to my bedroom door and slowly open it. I peek through the door to see if my mom is in the living room or kitchen. I open the door completely and tiptoe to the kitchen hoping my mom won't hear my footsteps from her bedroom. I slowly open the fridge and look for something I can make for breakfast. I quietly mumble to myself, "Ugh there's nothing here that I want to eat. Maybe I'll head to the store when Tiffany (my sister) gets here. I flop onto the couch in the living room and turn the tv on. I flip through the channels and stop at the cartoons channel. I watch my favorite cartoon then suddenly I hear my mom's voice coming from the kitchen. I swiftly turn around look at my mom as she looks in the fridge for something to eat. She takes out all the ingredients to make french toast and scrambled eggs. I want to say something to her but she may still be mad at me. I have to atleast say goodmorning to her. "G....Goodmorning mom." My mom begins making her french toast as she says sleepily, "Goodmorning Jay." (Jay is the nickname my mom gave me) I smile as I turn my attention back to the tv. My mom leaves her bowl filled with ingredients and went back to her room and came back with her phone. She starts making a phone call. She puts her cell phone to her ear and starts talking. "Tiff don't forget you gotta come pick up your sister for her first day at school and remember she can't go no where she has to come straight home because ya'll  dad is coming to get her. She soon hangs up the phone and she soon finishes her french toast and scrambled eggs. When she's done she washes her dishes then she goes back into her room. She returns and hands me a 20 dollar bill and say, "When your sister comes you can go to the store and buy a sandwich and something to drink or you can save it and eat some of the scrambled eggs and french toast that I left in the microwave for you." I nod my head and take the money and than I quietly say, "Thank you." She walks back to her room and starts getting ready for work. I stand up and take the french toast out of the microwave and sit at the small kitchen island table. I begin eating than I take my plate and fork to the sink and wash my dishes. When I'm finished washing my dishes I hear the doorbell ring. I quickly walk to the door and look through the peephole. I see my sister standing there waiting for me  to open the door. I open the door and greet  Tiffany with a smile. Tiffany hugs me tightly. When we were finally finished hugging before I could realize it I felt a small body wrap around my leg. When I looked down I saw a little girl with nice and clear very light brown skin, perfect brown eyes, beautiful eyelashes, curly black and dark brown hair that was parted perfectly into two puffy and curly pigtails. The little girl looked at me and smile filled with joy. Before I could stop myself I immediately held the little girl tightly in my arms. Tiffany looked at us hugging with a smile on her face and said, "That's little girl that you're hugging so tightly is yo-" "My niece." I said interrupting Tiffany. I stopped hugging the little girl and looked at her and smiled. As I looked at her I  noticed that on the right side of her face near her ear there was a patch of lighter skin going toward her eyelashes which made some of her eyelashes tanned like the color of the patch of skin. I didn't think it made her look ugly or weird I thought it made her unique.  She was wonderful just the way she was. I looked at Tiffany, "What's her name?" Tiffany sighed, "Her name is Nala." I smiled and looked at Nala. She looked at me and called me mama. I was surprised and I looked at Tiffany. Tiffany looked at Nala and said, "No Nala auntie or Jay Jay." Tiffany looked back at me, "Ya'll two will have more time to chat when we get in the car." I opened the door all the way, " Well come in Tiff. I'm gonna go put my sneakers on and I'm gonna grab my bookbag." Tiffany held Nala's hand as they walked inside of the house. I closed the door behind them and quickly walked to my bedroom and put my sneakers on. I grabbed my book bag and rushed out of my room. "I'm ready to go Tiff."I said as I grabbed my wallet of the dressing table near the couch. "Bye mom!" I yelled as we left the house and walked to Tiff's car. I looked at her car in surprise. The dark blue Ford Taurus had me mesmerized. I know it wasn't a really cool brand new car that just came out but it was still a beautifully shaded dark blue with hints of gray and black. I put Nala in her car seat and I placed my book bag next to Nala's car seat then I took my place in the front next to Tiff in the driver's seat. The car smelled fresh. I put my seatbelt on and relaxed in my seat. "Hey Tiff can I use your phone I wanna go on Facebook." Tiff kept her eyes on the road as she said, "Where's your phone at." I sighed quietly, " Mommy took it from me because I lied to her and stayed outside late yesterday." "Hmm... Well whose fault is it that mommy took your phone." Said Tiffany as she stopped the car at a red light." It's my fault that mommy took my phone." I said as I looked out the car window. " Tiffany started driving again as soon as the light turned green. "My phone is in my bag."I stretched and reached Tiffany's bag and looked inside for her phone. I took her phone out of her bag and logged into facebook. I posted a new status, "On my way to St. Flows Boarding School in Syracuse for a tour". After a few hours me and Nala fell asleep in the car. I was sound asleep as Tiffany drove smoothly to St. Flows. Hours later we finally arrived. "Jay! Jay wake up!" Said Tiffany as she shook me to wake me up. I slowly awake and open my eyes. "I...I'm up." I stretch while in my seat to try and wake myself up. I get out of the car and and look around.
