"And this will be your apartment, Hatsu." A silver-haired Jonin says in boredom.
"Thanks, Kakashi-san. I think I can handle myself from now on." Hatsu says, grinning.
The older man narrowed his visible eye at the girl, taking in her full appearance. Vibrantly colored hair, sunglasses, fair skin, a strange hat, and a golden front tooth. Quite the odd clothing choice, especially with her other colored clothes.
"If you say so. I'll be checking up on you in the morning to make sure you are awake and ready to get to the Academy." Kakashi says.
"Right on, sir." Hatsu says, her grin somehow getting even wider.
The Jonin nodded and disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving Hatsu grinning like an idiot. The sudden sound of footsteps coming towards her caused her to spin around and stare at the boy before her. She raised an eyebrow at him, smirking.
"You must be Sasuke Uchiha. I'm your new neighbor, Hatsu. But you can call me Thugsu." She says jokingly.
The one and only Sasuke Uchiha glared at her and only responded with a, 'hn', before walking passed her. Hatsu glared back at him from behind her sunglasses and as he reached his apartment door beside hers, she gave him the finger.
"What an ass." She mumbles under her breath.
Sasuke somehow heard her and glanced at her, his eyes slightly wide with shock. She stuck her tongue out at him, before shoving her apartment key into her lock and twisting the knob. She pushed open the door and stepped in, slamming it behind her.
Sasuke stared at the door for a moment, before entering his own apartment, his thoughts still on the girl, Hatsu.
...
"What a vacant place." Hatsu mumbles.
She looks around her apartment, staring at her empty kitchen. Her stomach suddenly growled and she sighed. She looked at her living room and frowned when she saw only a small kotatsu table in the center of the room.
She walked into the hallway and swung open one of the doors, peering in, only to find a small bathroom with a shower, a toilet, a steel sink, and a cabinet-mirror. She backed out of the bathroom and walked a little farther down the hallway.
She opened the next door and peered in, only to slam her head against a shelf.
"Son of the ramen gods... Who the hell put that there?!" She yells angrily.
She rubs her head as she stepped away from what she suspected to be a closet and slammed the door shut. She finally reached the last door in the hallway and opened it, her hand groping into the dark room. She placed her hand on the wall and smirked, flipping on the light switch.
Her smirk dropped once she realized that there was only a futon, a dresser, a tiny door to what she guessed was a closet, and a huge window in her bedroom. The rest of the area was vacant.
"Fucking hell, does the Hokage expect me to be damn rich or something?" She asks under her breath.
She turns off the light in her bedroom and shuts the door, walking back down the hallway. She reached her door and took out her key, before opening her apartment door. She opened it and stepped outside, slamming it shut.
She walked toward the stairs that led to the street below her apartment complex and jogged down the stairs. Once she reached the street she headed toward the center of town, shoving her hands in her pockets. A wide grin appeared on her face.
