Chapter 3
"What?" I ask him.
"Are you okay?" Leo asks, his eyes showing his concern. I nod and he relaxes. "You acted like a child back there." He says softly yet I still somehow feel as though I'm being scolded. When I say nothing, he continues. "We're just watching out for you, you're playing with fire." I shrug and look down. I understand how dangerous this world is. If it weren't for Leo, I'm sure I would become just another danger to this universe. I'd become one who felt comfort in the darkest regions of this worlds hate. In many ways, he's my savior. I was weak most of my life. But, when I met them, they unleashed something hiding inside me. I had always just been a wolf in sheep's clothing without realizing it. I didn't need protection anymore, but Leo was still there to make sure I didn't slip too far into the darkness that I wouldn't be able to return.
My thoughts were interrupted when Leo lifted my chin and kissed me softly. "You think to much," he said and pulled me closer to him kissing the top of my head. "I don't want to lose you," he mumbled into my hair.
"Gross! Get a room!" Leo and I both turn to see Hyuk and his girlfriend, Aria, walking towards us hand-in-hand. Leo attempts to chop Hyuk in the neck but missed. Aria and I share a look and burst out laughing and the guys look at us as though we have lost our minds. After sobering up, Aria and I hug before Hyuk comes up and grabs her hand again. She looks like a vampire, but not one of those creepy ones, like the ones you'd see in teen movies. She has long dark hair falling behind her like a curtain, black jeans and T-shirt, and crimson lipstick. She's beautiful and delicate looking. You can see the love Hyuk has for Aria in the way his eyes lit up anytime someone merely mentions her name. We talk for a bit, Aria, Hyuk, Leo, and I, about nothing in particular. I check the time; almost five a.m.
"You girls should get some sleep, you have school in a couple of hours," Leo says also checking his watch. Aria and I pout at the idea of having to leave.
"Why don't they just sleep here?" Hyuk says. Aria and I both perk up and look towards Leo for approval and he nods. Aria, Hyuk, and I all share a smile.
"It would probably be safer here anyways. There's most likely people searching for 'Victoria'," He said looking at me and I give him my best innocent look and mouth "Sorry" before getting up and running to the room he shared with Ravi. I tiptoe to the bed closer to the window not trying to wake Wonsik, however that was short lived when I trip over a shoe. I look towards Wonsik who's still sleeping soundly.
"He sleeps like a bear." I jump at Leo's voice. "Nervous?" He asks, a small smile playing at his lips.
"Nope," I reply, "You're an old man, and so you probably want to go straight to sleep." He raises an eyebrow slightly in challenge and I smile. "Besides," I say turning and laying on his bed, "I'm tired." I cuddle closer to him as he lies on the bed and he wraps his arms around me. I wish I could stay in this moment; warm, happy, safe, and before I know it I'm falling asleep. I wake up to Leo gently shaking me with a worried look on his face.
"What's wrong?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. They're wet and so are my cheeks. Had I been crying?
"You were crying in your sleep again," he said, confirming my suspicions. "Do you remember what it was this time?"
"No," I shake my head. "I'm sorry I woke you up," I say and look down. Leo doesn't say anything; instead he pulls me close to him and holds me for a bit before breaking the silence.
"You should get ready, you have school soon."
"I don't have any clean clothes." I point to my leggings and undershirt.
