"That phone must be very interesting." I look up from my phone suddenly to see Beck sit next to where I'm laying upside down on the couch.

"Oh, you know it," I roll my eyes and right myself on the couch. It's been a week since I joined The Crusade and became the head of the operation. That also means it's been a week since I last talked to Taek or any of the other boys. It's not that they haven't attempted to contact me. It's just every time they call I ignore it and when they text I delete it. They've attempted reaching me at home, but I always pretend to not be home. The week has been tolerable though. By tolerable I mean I've been far too distracted by The Crusade to cry over Taekwoon too much. I actually enjoy my time with them, especially Beckett. He's funny and it seems as though everyone respects him, or fears him. Although he claims that I don't need anyone to protect me, he seems to find pleasure in the idea of playing my protector. I hear him rambling on about something Alisin had done but I'm far too busy scrolling through my phone hoping for a text from Taekwoon to really listen to what he's saying.

"Are you waiting for a call from your lover? Is that why you're so BLATANTLY IGNORING ME?" He yells the last part to get my attention. When I ignore him yet again he gets up and walks away pouting.

"Don't be a child," I roll my eyes and throw a pillow at his retreating form.  He turns around feigning shock.

"That's not what pillows are for!" he states, shaking his finger at me.

"Then why are they called THROW pillows?" I smirk as I throw another pillow, this time hitting him in the face.

"That's it," he growls, "You forget that I know your weakness." He smiles wickedly, oddly resembling the Grinch, approaching me slowly. I spring from my spot on the sofa and take off in a sprint. Due to my short legs, he catches me easily. He pulls me back into him and starts tickling me.

"You are Satan!" I yell through the laughter, both my own and a few spectators', and body spasms.

"Do you give up!?" He yells above my laughter, holding my hands above my head.

"Yes!" I respond. He releases his grip on me and I fall to the floor breathing hard. "This means war," I threaten him with a glare.

"Sure it does, Princess." He offers his hand to help me up but I swat it away.

"I'm going home," I continue to glare as I dust myself off.

"About that," He claps his hands together, "You know how you said you wanted to get your own place? Well, it just so happens my uncle owns an apartment complex! And he's made me the manager! So, I have a place for you to live." He smiles, obviously proud of what he's accomplished.

"Few questions; question one, why would you uncle make you the manager? Question two, why would you do that for me?"

"Answer one, he said some shit about 'learning responsibilty.' Answer two, because it would also be safer for your mom."

I take a moment to think about the danger I put my mother in daily by doing what I do and come to a conclusion.

"Fine," I sigh. "What's the address?"

"i'm gonna take you!"

"I can get there myself."

"Fine, it's the apartments about a block from your moms house, I thought you would like that you aren't too far."

I turn to walk away but stop when I hear footsteps following me out of the building.

"I said I can go on my own." I turn to glare at Beckett.

"I just happen to be walking in this direction, Princess. Besides, I'm going to follow you whether you like it or not so you might as well suck it up." He smirks back and me and I throw my hands up in exasperation and continue my trek home. I walk the way I usually go so I can stop by my mom's and get some clothes and shower stuff. We mostly walk in silence except for when Beck would tell a terrible joke or complain about the distance.

"Why do you live in such an uppity neighborhood?" He grimaces looking around at all of the wrought iron fences.

"Hey, you are the one who wanted me," I smile and bump his shoulder with mine.

"Oh, I still do," he smiles back and goes to hug me.

"Pervert. This is sexual harassment," I laugh and push him away from me.

"You love it," he sing-songs and attempts another hug. Our laughter is cut short when I see someone standing in front of my mom's house. My heart stops for a beat and I gasp as my mind recognizes who it is.

"Leo," I exclaim softly. Beckett tenses beside me and I can tell that he is ready for a fight. I put a hand on his arm to calm him and let him know everything is fine. "Beckett, this is Leo. Leo, This is Beckett. Leo, what are you doing here?"

"Victoria," Leo says my alias softly, almost as though he knows that Beckett has no idea who I really am. "I was worried about you." At this he glances towards Beckett.

"Don't worry, I've been taking real good care of your girlfriend," Beckett states, casually sliding his arm around my shoulders. Something about the way he said it makes me shake his arm off immediately. I can tell Leo picked up on the subtle undertone of Becks voice when I notice the glares being shot in his direction. I quickly grab both of their wrists and lead them inside.

"Let's talk inside, it's cold out here."
