"But mom!" I argued.
"You aren't going and that's final!" My mom screamed, her face going red from all that anger that she held.
But, I was persistent."Are you kidding me mom? I've paid a hundred dollars to go to that concert, I camped out for a day and I've been waiting for this my whole life and you'll say no?!"
"You should've asked me first before buying that ticket" she simply stated.
"What?! I've been waiting for two whole years for this and you'll just say no" My eyes start to become teary
"Yes" she said
"I - I hate you!" I screamed at her while running to my room.
"This is it, this was supposed to be time to wear my band shirt and just let loose and have fun at their concert but no, she didn't allowed me" I thought.
All my countdowns to this are gone and wasted, my money is wasted, my time is wasted and I'm probably gonna be wasted too.
I don't know what to do now because nothing will make me better. My one in a lifetime chance is gone and its only an hour 'till their concert. I hate you mom why must you do this to me? At least dad volunteered to drive me to the place where we bought tickets but here I am stuck in my room not going to the concert.
What about dad? Won't he be able to persuade mom? Oh, I forgot. Dad can't drive because mom has his keys and she won't allow me so let's cross that one out.
But wait a second.
Why didn't think of this earlier?
You are such an idiot, Diane
I'll just sneak out!
But how?
I can't go through the front door obviously and I can't go through any of the windows. Hmmm, I know! I'll just disassemble the windows. I know it sounds very risky as my mom can hear it from downstairs but its worth a shot!
I'm really scared though, even if it was just the 2nd floor.
Wait, what am I saying? I should be scared!
No I'm a fearless eagle. I like eagles
I never snuck out before, I rarely went to parties and social events do I'm not really used to this bit I tell myself that if I don't do this I'll never meet them and my money will be wasted.
I put on my band tee, jeans and shoes and got an improvised screw driver. I started opening the windows and that was the easy part but I heard my mom calling and screaming at me already.
"Diane! Diane!" She screeched.
I need to hurry.
I already hear her footsteps
C'mon I can fit here!
But unexpectedly she is able to open my room before I can escape.
"What the heck are you doing?! Don't you know lots of people are killed by windows each year?! And you aren't to disobey my orders! I am your mother and you're under 18 which means I could control you! And I say you're not going" She Sermons me.
Mom please, I'm almost 18.
"I am going mom! I love you but I need my freedom too!" I told her
"No! You aren't going Diane! I'm grounding you if you don't let go of the windows. I am going to count to three"
Why is she going to count to three? I am not a toddler or a dog.
My actions have consequences, I know that and I'm weighing whether or not I should do this because, while I really love that band oh so much, I don't think it's appropriate to sneak out for that to happen.
Go Diane, sneak out while you can
No Diane, this is just gonna cause troubles for everyone.
Go Diane!
No Diane!
"Three" Should I do this?
"Two" Is this the right thing?
"One" Rules are for sissys
God, please do not let me get smashed into a million pieces.
I jumped out of the now torn apart window and land on the hard ground but I didn't care if it hurt, I needed to run. At least I'm smashed into little tiny Dianes with bloody
"Diane, you come back here now!" My mom screeched at me.
"I'm sorry" That was all that I can say as I run away from her.
I ran to the nearest taxi stop. There were plenty of taxis there so I didn't need to panic about being late. I get into a blue taxi and the driver asks where to go.
"To the CCA please." The CCA was the name of the concert center.
As the taxi drives to the venue, I can't help but feel guilty about what I did. I snuck out. I disobeyed my mom. I jumped out of a window for God's sake! It's like I traded my mom for a concert and not to mention the punishment I'll receive when I come home later. Well, let's not to think about that now.
"So, who's playing at the CCA tonight?" The taxi driver asks me.
"5 Seconds of Summer"
"Never heard of them" he answered.
"Well now you have" I tell him.
My phone was ringing and I checked the caller ID. Oh no it was mom. I decided to leave it like that, pretend to not hear it or something.
"Hey your phone is ringing!" The driver said, stating the obvious.
"It's an unknown number" I tell him and kept ignoring my phone.
I still can't believe that I'm actually doing this and I know what I did isn't right whichever way you look at it but, I was so desperate! I mean I jumped off the 2nd floor through the window and I was confident! Well certainly I was becoming a rebel.
15 minutes later and my phone still hasn't stopped ringing and we were there. I payed the guy 10 dollars and told him to keep the change. Yep, I'm a rich kid. Nah, I just messing with you. I got out of the taxi and examined the place.
I forgot all my troubles, my worries and my doubts because I'm finally here an there's no one to stop me.
God, I am being too dramatic
"I'm finally here, I made it"
