I stay up all night texting Cristian about plans for our next date. I can't wait but at the same time I still wish it was with Charlie.

Lily knocks on my bedroom door

"Hey Ali.... You need to get to bed if you want me to drive you to rehearsal before I go to work tomorrow."

"How did you know I was still awake??"

"I can here your clicking and giggling through the wall." She says. "we have to leave at 8:30 sharp."

"8:30?!? Thats so early!!" I whined.

"Oh please your just being dramatic. Now.... Go to sleep!!"

I quickly tell Cristian goodnight and trade my skinny jeans for my comfy penguin pj pants. And with that I turn out the light and lay in my bed and drift off.

"I had alot of fun today." Charlie says as he drops me off at my apartment.

"Me too!" I smile at him hoping he'll return the smile. He did and my heart melts!

"Well goodnight, chuck. I'll see you at rehearsal." I start to go inside

"Wait!" Charlie stops me....

I turn to see what he wants and he kiss me!! On the lips!!!

WHAT?!

I open my eyes to find I'm kissing my star wars pillow instead of Charlie.

It was just a dream..... I thought and I sigh.

I look at the alarm clock and realize that I beat my alarm! So I decide to get up and get ready for my Shrek rehearsal.

I wave to Lilly who drives away in her Honda car to work at the towns coffee shop.

I push the doors open and the minute I see Charlie I think of my dream.

No no no!! I cannot let this affect my acting carreer!

Our director greets me as I walk in as well as all of the other castmates

I sit while my castmates talk to me. But I don't listen. I'm actually trying to build up the courage and ask Charlie how his date with Jennie went.

This shouldn't be so hard! We're best friends! We're both seeing people! I can't feel this way towards him!!

By the time I finally get the courage to stand up and say hi to him he isn't alone on his phone anymore. He's talking to someone. Not just someone. Jennie.

UGH

after a while Jennie goes away and I powerwalk to sit next to him and talk to him.

"So that was Jennie." I say.

"Yup!" He says smiling.

"You talking to Jennie. You. Jennie. You and Jennie. Jennie and you."

"Ok I get it!!" He stops me.

"Sorry.... Hey how'd your date go?" I ask.

"It was good. We saw a movie."

"Cool."

We sit in an awkward silence.. I hoped someone would say something but noone did.

It can't be like this for the rest of our lives.
