“Ramsey, come in the house and eat your dinner before it gets cold!"

“Coming!” Ramsey yells. “Here you go. You guys are going to need a lot of these to become big and strong like me!” the young lad said to his cows, flexing his muscles and pumping up his chest and cheeks.

Ramsey excitedly runs up the footpath to meet his father as he sees his father returning home from the Armory. “Dad, you’re back. Did you bring home that really sharp sword!? I want to see it!”

“Hahaha, yes I did son. I’ll show it to you – after dinner, alright?”

“But that’s what you said that the last time!” Ramsey mutters in disappointment, while facing away from his father.

“This time will be different. I promise.” His father tries to convince him.

“Yeah, you said that the last time, too”.

“Welcome home dear, how was work today at the Armory?” Trisha asked her husband.

“There was a lot of work today at the Armory. King Brunswick requires new sets of weapons and armors for the troops. I’m sorry, I must have kept you waiting Trisha.” Gallam says, as he caresses and kisses her.

“Ewww! Why do you two do that?” Ramsey cries out in disgust at what he sees.

“Haha, you’ll understand when you’re a little older Ramsey.” Gallam replies.

The family settles down and enjoys their meal over the wooden dinner table in front of the warm fireplace.

“What do you want to do when you’re older Ramsey?” Gallam asked his son.

“I wan to be a first class soldier protecting the town from bad people” Ramsey exclaims with soaring ambition.

“Well you better eat more and become stronger then” Trisha said.

Ramsey stuffs his mouth with more food. His parent laughs at him.

 -15 years later-

The town peoples gathered at the gate entrance, as they wait for their loved ones to return safely. A small squadron of men in armor approaches from the distance with some wounded and some limping back. All their faces had smiles, as they were glad to be home after a long journey. Everybody breathed a sigh of relief as the gates to the city square started opening.

“They’re back! They’re back!” a man screams out loud amongst the crowd. Everybody started cheering. The red carpet was rolled out and the city’s people threw flowers over them for a heroes welcome home. Women on the balcony gathered in masses, pushing and shoving each other as they impatiently waited for them to walk through the gates.

A knight in golden battered armor with a long, red, torn cape walks through the gates first while aiding two wounded soldiers, as they limp their way through the gates. The ladies all started blushing, calling out to the royal guard.

“Ramsey, Welcome back!” one of the lady yells out.

Ramsey turns to look at the ladies on the balcony. The ladies waved. Ramsey’s face turns red. His men laugh at him while giving him a shove on the shoulder. As they reached the end of the carpet, king Brunswick and his daughter awaits them at the end.

“You’ve done well lads. Let us share the experience of your journey tonight over a feast at the palace. Lorraine, why don’t you go and give Ramsey a hand?” King Brunswick asked his daughter.

Lorraine turns her head away from her father, “They’re below me father. My presence here is already an honor for them. It is their duty to protect the kingdom. I shall not carry their belongings.”
