Park Jimin

"This is very easy Jo Shin," I said, trying to pull my shit together before I explode while tutoring this stubborn high schooler. "see, the formula to this equation is very easy to memorize."

Jo Shin rolled her eyes at me. This little--sigh--Relax Park Jimin, you can do this.

Before I could talk we were interrupted by Jo Shin's mom. I quickly smiled at her, even if I am already burning inside with stress.

"Is Jo Shin giving you a hard time Jimin?" She asked as she entered with a tray of snacks and placed it on the study table.

I wanted so scream YES! but of course, I needed the money and I don't want to ruin my reputation as a tutor.

So I smiled anyway, "No ma'am. In fact she's been catching up."

I can hear Jo Shin grumble beside me. Just a little more Jimin, before you strangle her to death.

I maintained my smile, and right on cue the clock beeped. Signalling that my session with Jo Shin is done. Thank goodness.

"Oops, time to go. I appreciate the snacks Mrs. Choi, but I really have to go. Mom made me run some errands for her today." I grabbed my manuals and stuffed them inside my bag. "See you next week Jo Shin."

"Whatever." Crossing her arms, she stood up and went out of the room.

Mrs. Choi grabbed my hand. "She's very stubborn, but she's really a sweet girl Jimin believe me."

Yeah sure what a sweet girl that brat is.

I smiled. "I know Mrs. Choi, she just needs a little bit of pushing. I'll be going now."

Mrs. Choi walked me to the door, and after finally getting out of that house, I walked towards the bus stop which is luckily near here.

"Errands? Mother? Ha! What a lame excuse Park Jimin. I don't even have both of it!" I said to myself, pathetically. Dramatically flipping my hair. "I don't need them anyway."

I looked like a crazy person while walking, but I don't care.

I glanced at my watch. I still have an hour to go before my shift starts at the convenience store I'm working at. Its located near my apartment, lucky for me I guess.

But tutoring by day and working at night isn't enough for my family. For them I am a disgrace. Because at 25 I'm still not able to find a stable job or even a husband.

Who cares? I mean, why rush everything? I'm just 25. I am a single and an independent woman, and I'm proud of it.

Finally, I reached the bus stop. I looked at the schedule and it says the next bus heading to my place is in 15 minutes.

"Jimin!" A familiar voice called. I roamed my eyes only to see my friend Jungkook, waving at me.

"Jungkook!" I called as he walked towards me.

"Going home?" He asked, pulling out his earphones.

"Yep. How about you?"

"Same. Why are you here anyway?" He said looking around the place.

"I have a student to tutor here. What about you?"

"I met up with a friend of mine. He lives around here."

I nodded. "Don't you have a shift at the Monster Food?"

Monster food is a local stir fry restaurant at our place where Jungkook works as a cook.

"I do, I'll be doing the night shift since I used my shift to visit my friend." He answered, tucking his hands on his pockets.

I just nodded, then I looked to the left and saw the bus coming. "The bus is here, thank goodness."

The ride home was full of conversation, it was always like this whenever we see each other. It was always like the first time. Jungkook and I have a lot in common, maybe that's why we became friends. We both liked each other's company. Like we go to parties together, we go bar hopping together, anything!

I think our relationship proves that, two people of different gender can be friends without falling for each other.

"Hey, how about I treat you dinner since its my shift?" Jungkook said as we hopped off the bus.

"That sounds great but won't Namjoon mind? You always give me free food whenever I'm there."

He scoffed. "Of course he won't silly. Even Seokjin won't mind, you know how the couple likes your presence at the shop."

"Okay if you say so."

So instead of going home and ordering chinese, we both headed to Monster Food, which is located across the store where I work.

Jungkook opened the door for me and he followed behind. We saw Seokjin on the counter retrieving there profit from the day shift. Seokjin smiled as she saw us. Jungkook automatically went to the kitchen.

"Its good to see you here Jimin." She said.

"Good to see you too Seokjin. If you won't mind, I'll be eating free food here again." I said and Seokjin laughed.

"Oh don't bother eating here, you know how Namjoon and I like you and Jungkook."

Namjoon popped out of nowhere. "Hi there Jimin, you're getting prettier everytime we see you."

"I agree with you Honey. She seems glowing today. Is there a special someone already?" Seokjin teased. Namjoon went beside her and wrapped his hands around her. Aww, What a sweet couple.

I sat on one of the stool and shook my head. "No. It's just stress you see, hovering over my existence."

"Here's your order ma'am." Jungkook piped in with a sizzling plate of chicken and beef stir fry--my fave--then winked before going back to the kitchen.

"Enjoy your food dear." Seokjin said as I started to savor the delicious free food in front of me.

"I will!"

"Seokjin, honey please rest now. You've done a lot of work today!" Namjoon yells from the pantry.

"Yah Kim Namjoon! Don't go touching stuffs in there!"

I laughed to myself. They go from sweet couple to annoying buddies really quick. I really love looking at them, they seem to live a carefree life, living their dream at a young age.

I envy them to be honest. But, I like how I live right now.

My phone beeped, and glanced on the clock. "Holy shit, I'm late!"
