Chapter 11

Transferee

"Yein, wake up. Yein!"

I woke up when someone made a wake-up call on me. I rubbed my eyes causing my blurry vision run back to normal.

"Wh-what?" I have no idea what happened.

"The bell rang. Come on let's go." Jiae unnie said while handing me my bag. I cluelessly looked at her. "You slept the whole period." She said.

I'm feeling a little bit dizzy.

"What? Why didn't you wake me up?" I said irritated.

"Well, i slept the whole period too. It was too boring."

That's when it hit me. It was just a dream. I sighed in relief, why on earth did i dreamed about him? I must be insane. Jungkook... he's in my dream too. Ugh, it must be the side effect of the pain reliever.

We went out the theatre room when i bumped into someone. The papers she was holdong fell.

"I'm so sorry." I apologized and helped her get her stuff. I lifted my gaze and realized who she was. "Sujeong unnie?"

Her eyes widened, she rapidly grabbed all her stuff and started walking away.

"Argh unnie wait!" I said frustrated.

Me and Jiae ran the distance between us. I stopped infront of her.

I tried to catch my breath. "Unnie... please?"

She breathed heavily. "I have to go Yein." She walked away not making an eye contact with me.

"Sujeong-ssi, we're your best friends. Talk to us." Jiae said.

Sujeong faced us, her facial expression is really exhausted.

She smiled and said.. "Just give me space to think." She left and didn't even bother to turn her back again.

I was about to chase her again but Jiae stopped me from holding my arm.

"Let her go, it's not our story to tell."

I'm worried. Why are they like this? It's very frustrating! I went home by myself, Tae didn't even bother to answer my calls, even Sujeong. Me, Mon and Dad ate dinner without Taehyung.
The next day, even Sujeong is avoiding me, not only me but the whole squad.

"What's wrong with her?" Mijoo commented.

We're on our hangout place, we usually stay here whenever we don't have any class.

"She has been avoiding us the whole day." Kei unnie stated while drinking her latte.

"Yein... did you and your brother talk already?" Jisoo asked.

I shook my head. "Even my brother is avoiding me, even at home." I said and shrugged.

It was movie night yesterday, me and Tae are supposed to watch movies 'til midnight. It became our hobby for the past months.

Popcorn check, soda check, a very comfortable blanket check. I prepared the whole thing. It's 9pm and Tae is not home yet. I watched a couple of series while waiting for him. It's almost midnight. I'm starting to worry.

I fell asleep waiting for him, i woke up at the sound coming from the kitchen. I took a glance at my phone to check what time is it. It's 2am.

The tv is still on but it is muted.

I tiptoed myself to get to the kitchen. I took a peek and there i saw Taehyung on the ground he look so helpless and he's... crying.

In my whole life, i never seen him cry. He didn't even cry at funerals. It's the first time.

I want to comfort him but i'm scared of his aura. I leaned back at the wall and sat.

I'm sorry Tae for failing you as a twin...

"Hey guys... did you heard the news about a transferee?"

We all looked at Kei because of what she said.

"Oh yeah!" Mijoo agreed.

"I encountered him earlier at the library." Jisoo said while grinning.

"He's a transferee from paris. Ain't that cool?" They all nodded at what Jiae said.

I just listened to them because i have ni idea what their talking about. I heard that there is a transferee i'm not deaf. But i'm just simply not interested.

"Let's have a bet." Soul unnie said.

"Count me out." I immediately opposed same as Jin. This is not a good idea.

"Come on! It will be fun!" Soul unnie said, she's grinning.

"Yeah! Come on guys, don't be such a party popper." I glared at Mijoo she just shrugged at me. All of them agreed except for me and Jin.

I let out a book showing them that i'm not really interested. Majority wins and since our squad has a rule. I couldn't just say no. But it doesn't change the fact that this is really a bad idea.

"The first one to be hooked up with that guy wins." Mijoo said challenging us.

"What?! No no. I disagree." I immediately refused at her mad idea.

"Kidding." She said.

I don't even know who it is!

"Hey i have class to attend to. Let's talk about this later." Baby soul unnie said waiving at us. Jiae and Jisoo bid their goodbye's too.

Kei and Jin went to the cafeteria to buy some food.

I looked at Mijoo who is busy with her phone. She's watching Show me the money. I just went back at reading.

Who's the transferee they're talking about anyway? I sighed heavily.
