"That was the last apple!" I burst into the room practically screaming at my friend, Angelina for eating my food.

A very beautiful blonde stood in front of me, she's wearing a black fitted halter dress with matching, black heels and a face full of maquillage, making her icy blue orbs pop more. My self-esteem buried itself 8 feet underground.

"Shut the hell up and get your ass ready." She sassed, rolling her eyeballs.

"I swear. Do that again and I will gouge your eyes out."

She laughed at my remark then made her way towards her wardrobe, picking up small red sundress and threw it to my direction. "There! wear that, it'll look good on you."

I knelt down and grasped the red dress with my tiny hands "But this is way too revealing!" I whined while gazing at it.

"How is that revealing?"

"Look at it, it's so small."

"I swear to God, Avalon. I will rip your clot-" Angelina started babbling so I raised my finger to shush her, quickly cutting her off mid-sentence.

"Chill." I grabbed the dress and ran back inside my room to change. Not really used to change clothes in front of other people.

I peeled off my baggy clothes and slipped into the red dress that showed too much skin. Sighing once again, I left the room and proceeded back to Angelina's place.

"See? That looks so cute!" She squealed happily then snatched a small bag placed on her desk. "Sit down, I'll do your makeup" Angelina winked at me so I sat down and shuffled on the bed uncomfortably.

"Please don't put too much makeup. Face powder and lip gloss will do, please please please." I begged when she came closer.

I heard her say a small 'yeah' then she slapped face powder all over my face and dabbed it lightly. "You know what, Ava? You're too naive, too innocent, too decent. How are you even my friend? You should go out of your comfort zone and express yourself more." Angelina gave me a small speech as if telling me to 'get out of my comfort zone' would encourage me to be more confident.

"You're not helping" I responded as she finished smearing pink lip gloss all over my pale lips.

She ignored my comment, "You look plain, are you sure that's all it?"

"Yup! Thanks."

"You still have the oh-so-innocent look, ya' know?" She chuckled and pulled me upwards, making me stand. "But you look really nice."

"Thank you!" I thanked her once again. Because I'm pretty sure that's how you respond to compliments.

Angelina grabbed a black leather jacket hanging from her bedpost and a pair of black wedges under the bed. "Here, wear these." She gave it to me and I quickly followed her instructions. She looked at me one last time and gave me a nod, meaning that she agrees with my appearance.

We finally went outside, waiting for the uber. "Hey, Avalon?"

"Mhmm?" I hummed.

"I've set you a date, remember?"

I gave her a simple nod, slightly confused for suddenly bringing this topic out of nowhere.

"The guy used to be my classmate and he seems like a really nice guy. But he stopped going to school a month after our graduation and never came back, it was quite odd because he contacted me after like.. 4 years? and we're not even close but he's really nice. You'll like him!" She shrieked while shaking my shoulders lightly. "But the most important part tonight is that you should enjoy. This is your night. Get out of your bubble and try to live life. Party hard." She winked that made me chuckle.

"Yeah, I will. I will enjoy my night."

The loud party noises pounded my ears as soon as we entered the large nightclub. All these drunk teenagers are screaming and swaying their hips all over the dance floor. Angelina scanned the place, squinting her eyes a little bit. I assume that she's looking for my date.

"There he is!" She squealed and pulled me towards the dance floor then to the side where some clearheaded people are just chilling.

My stomach in knots and my mind is sinking, I honestly have no idea what to expect. Would I be in love at first sight? I mean, I don't know the guy. According to Angelina, they're not exactly friends but they know each other. She said he's nice but I'm still clueless about this guy and that made me a nervous wreck.

"Hey!" Angelina tapped a man's shoulder that was facing from behind us. He turned around then gave us a warm smile. They exchanged their hello's and how are you's whilst I just stood beside Angelina and stared at the man.

"This is Avalon." Angelina placed her hands on my shoulders.

I don't know why but I kinda had a moment with myself and just dazed at the man. I studied his features, and I'd be lying if I didn't say he's attractive because damn, this man is gorgeous. But I didn't felt butterflies dancing around my stomach nor made my heart run a marathon, none of those you see in the books and movies. It was just, normal.

I was left dumbfounded then I felt a squeeze on my shoulders, making me jump a little. I turned my head and saw Angelina giving me a look.

"Enjoying your view?" The guy chuckled that made my face go red. "Oh, That was so rude. I'm sorry for staring." I managed to say, my face flushed. "No, no, no. It's fine." He gave me a smirk, obviously amused by my awkward behavior.

"So.." Angelina started, "I guess I'll leave you two. She's just really shy and nervous around new people but she's really sweet." Angelina batted her long eyelashes at me.

"Yeah, I can see that." He smiled once again and gave Angelina a nod, "Okay well, see you guys later then. I have someone waiting for me. Enjoy your time!" She waved her hand before giving me another wink and left.

"Again, I'm so sorry for gazing at you creepily." I started the conversation, laughing a little bit. "and I believe we never had a proper introduction?"

"It's alright and yes, indeed." He responded.

"Well, I am Avalon." I beamed at the gentleman in front of me.

He smiled back, "Hello Ms. Avalon." The man moved a little lower and held my hand gently. "It's a pleasure to meet a beautiful woman like you in here tonight." He brought his lips closer to my hand and gave it a small kiss.

My lips curled upwards and my heart fluttered at his actions, he was such a gentleman and I instantly felt comfortable with him.

"And your name is?" I raised my eyebrow while grinning.

"My name is Dallon."
