Chapter 1

Karmen

"Thank you have a nice day beautiful" the Guy behind the counter said. I smiled and nodded my head.

I was on my way home from school and saw that it was free ice cream. I didn't bother getting Cam anything simply because he don't deserve shit from me.

Cameron has been my boyfriend for about three years now and everything was perfect in the beginning how almost every relationship is but that changed about six months into the relationship. He became controlling and abusive. I've tried to leave but love makes you do crazy shit. I was driving when I thought about my bestfriend August.

I pulled up to his house just to see him walking out.

"Wuzzam bestfriend?" He smiled

"Hey. Where you going?"

"Business? Find ya' some" he giggled

"Well excuse me sir" I giggled

"Nah I'm Boutta go ta' work" he said

"Ok. Be safe and call me later I got alot of homework to do"

"Ight and if you need my help with anything tell me ya know I gotchu" he looked into my eyes.

I nodded my head and walked away. I unlocked the door to my car and drove home. August doesn't know about the abuse but he sees all the bruises that I try to hide but he still notices them. I won't tell him just because I know how he is. He will kill Cameron and ion want my bestfriend in jail gain. He's been my bestfriend for five years. Do I have feelings for him? Yes I do but I wouldn't tell him that just because I don't know if he feels the same way.

I unlocked my door to my apartment and walked in. I walked into the kitchen to get me a bottle of water but stopped when I noticed dishes was still in the sink. I walked into the living room and pillows from the couch was on the floor and shoes was everywhere. You would think I had kids.

I walked into my room and saw Cameron putting on some clothes. "Why you didn't wash the dishes like I asked you to Cam?" I sighed

"Cuz that's a woman's job" he smirked.

"I have a job and go to school.." he cut me off.

"I have a job too fuck you mean?!" He slightly yelled.

"You sell drugs that's not a real job Cameron"

"Whatever man you went over yo mom house today?" He asked

"No just school, visited August and to this ice cream place"

He rolled his eyes at the fact me and August are bestfriends. "Jay said he saw you ova there" he said

"Jay didn't see me over there because I never went over there" I rolled my eyes and walked away but that only made him follow me.

"So you didn't go over there Karmen?" He asked

"No I didn't go over there today! Damn get off my back with this shit she's my mom she's getting older she never done anything to me or you" I yelled.

"Bitch you better lower yo muthafuckin voice!!" My boyfriend Cameren yelled.

"Bitch?! Nah you the bitch.. getting mad cuz you thought I went over my mom house. Always listening to those broke, dusty, bitch ass niggas you call yo friends fuck outta here bitch!!" I yelled.

Next thing I know is I'm getting pulled by my hair onto the floor. I tried to pry his hands from around my hair but he had a good amount in his hand.

He started punching me in my face and chocking me. I screamed out for him to stop but it's like he had something covering his ears because he wasn't listening to me.

"I'm sorry. Please stop Cam. Please I'm sorry" I cried trying to block his hits.

"Bitch shut the fuck up. Learn how to talk to me!!!" He yelled hitting me harder and harder.

He got up and stomped me in my side and I screamed out loud. It felt like my ribs has broken into pieces. He grabbed his keys and walked out the door leaving me there to cry and bleed in pain.

I tried to get up but the pain that I was in wouldn't let me. My next option is to call for help but my phone was nowhere close to me.

"HELP!! HELP ME PLEASE!!" nobody came.

"SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!" I screamed crying my eyes out.

Nobody still didn't come. I felt my body becoming numb next thing I know is I'm seeing black.
