The Bakery, Business and Cards

Demi's POV:

We arrived at the bakery, it wasn't busy. There was only a young couple with a child in here and of course the two women who work there. They were lovely, one was called Jean who seemed to get along with Harry really well and the other one was called Sandra, she was quite quiet and mainly stayed in the back of shop not really speaking to people. Jean seemed shocked at Harry's new look.

"Hello, you two. Harry you look amazing!" Jean said happily, pulling me and Harry in for a hug.

"Thanks, Jean. What can I do?" Harry said.

"Not much, just clean off the counter and then a few bread rolls need putting in the oven." She said smiling, as happy put on his apron taking a damp cloth. The young girl who was in the in the bakery with her parents seemed to be interested in their convosation. Jean walked into the other room of the bakery where Sandra was, them too quickly started having their own convosation.

"Do you need any help?" I asked him

"If you don't mind. You can clean the counter off whilst I put the rolls in the oven."

"Okay." I said, he quickly walked off into the other room to speak to Jean and Sandra. I quickly wiped off the counter and started singing to myself. I was singing a song I wrote, I was called 'Give Your Heart A Break'

The girl looked up at me astonished, her parents were smiling softly. I smiled awkwardly, no ones ever heard me sing properly. A few times when I'd do it around my local area but not like this.

"Wow" The girl said.

"Oh. Hi. Sorry about that." I mumbled walking before the counter. 

"You're really good! I'm Liv." She smiled happily putting out her hand for me to take.

"I'm Demi. Thankyou, Sweetie. No ones ever really heard me sing before."

"You're amazing. My names Danny. I work for a company called Hollywood Records. Here's my card, call me if you want a record deal." Her dad said.

"Are you serious. I'm not good enough." Was this really happening? I couldn't believe it.

"Yep.. Call me when you make up your mind." All I was thinking about was what Harry would think about this.

Harry's POV:

I walked into the back of the shop towards Jean and Sandra.

"Harry. Could I have a word?" Jean said.

"Erm, sure. What's up?"

"I know you like Demi. I see the way you look at her." Oh no. She couldn't have noticed.

"W-what do you mean? S-she's my best friend. Of course I like her." I stuttered.

"You and I both know you like her more than friends." She said, raising her eyebrows.

"Okay, Maybe I like her a little bit." Oh god, why was I admitting this. I turned to the doorway and seen Demi singing quite loudly, she was good and the family in the bakery looked amazed. "Jean. Do you think it would be a good idea if I auditioned for X-Factor?"

"Harry. Are you kidding? Go for it! You're amazing, this could be your dream come true!" She shouted happily.

"I truthfully just wanted to do it to impress Demi." I said honestly.

I seen the man in the bakery hand Demi a small card. What was it? The family quickly left the store and I walked into the front room towards Demi was standing.

"Demi?" She turned to face me. "Do you think I should audition for the X-Factor?" I asked her.

"YES!" She screamed embracing me in for a hug. I didn't want to let go but she pulled out of it. "Harry, someone fro, Hollywood Records offered me a record deal. We could be living our dreams together!" She said excitedly. "But I'll wait until you audition for X-Factor and if you get in, then I'll take the record deal." We shook hands and agreed on our deal.

"We have so much to plan! What song should I sing! I have no idea, what If I don't get through, I'll be so embarrassed!" I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of Demi.

"They'll be stupid if they don't let you through. Just believe in yourself." She gave me a reassuring smile.

Within two weeks I'll be at the X-Factor auditions. I'm so nervous, but if it's meant to be it will be, me and Demi can finally be successful.
