Chapter 12

Megans P.O.V

“STARBUCKS, STARBUCKS, let’s go to Starbucks guys?!” Catie cried out. I just gave Niall a silly smile, and he laughed while nodding his head. We walked quickly to the door and as the gentleman he was, Niall held the doors open following by the cheeky line: “After you, girls!”  I could see Caties cheeks getting red. She giggled a little thank you and stepped outside.

The fresh air hit my cheeks; the sun had already started to go down.

“Come on girls, it’s just down the street,” Niall said and took the lead, and Catie followed him following his footsteps. I think she started to get some feelings for her, and judging by the look in his eyes, he probably had the same feelings for her. It actually hurt a bit, in my dreams he would fall head over heels for me and we ended up getting old together, but the reality didn’t quite match up with what I hoped for. He fell for my best friend, and she fell for him. And what hurt the most, is the fact that she knew I’ve always had a good eye for Niall.   My thoughts were interrupted by Niall voice, I could feel my stomach tighten: “Honey, is everything alright?” He asked while grabbing my shoulder with a tight grip. “Yes, sure, I’m fine, just a little bit hungry and tired,” I responded with a fake smile. He nodded and smiled. His smile was so perfect; in fact everything about him was perfect. “Well, we’ll get you something to eat in a minute, babe!”

The smell of coffee tickled our noses when we entered Starbucks. Catie grabbed Nialls hand and ran to order something to drink. “Come on, Megan, what are you ordering?” she nearly screamed in excitement. “Umm, I don’t know yet. Which one is better?” I asked fumbling for my wallet in my big black purse. Digging my hand further and further in, I felt my panic rose. “The iced Caramel Frappuccino with whipped cream is the BOMB!”                                                          Where is it? It must be in there somewhere. It must have been the third time I emptied the bag when I realized I must have left it in the fitting room at Forever 21.

“Fuck. I forgot my wallet at Forever 21!”I said in an annoyed voice to Catie. I threw my bag to Catie giving her an annoyed look «I’ll be back in two!!” I sprinted outside, nearly mowing down a hipster girl, with long dark hair and no makeup, causing her coffee to SPASH in a big pile on the floor, making coffee stains on my top. “I’M SO SO SORRY! OH MY GOSH, I DIDN’T MEAN TOO!” She just gave me the GET-THE-HELL-AWAY-FROM-ME look, so I just smiled assuring her I’d give her a new one when I get back.

My heart was beating from all the running when I arrived at Forever 21; I wasn’t sure if it was from the fact that I had been sprinting for several hundred meters or if it was the stress from losing my wallet. As usual it was kind of chaotic in the store, but I didn’t mind as long as I found my wallet. Faster than I’ve ever walked up any staircases before, I ran up to the fitting rooms upstairs that I used earlier. Walking down the hallway of fitting rooms to the very end, I don’t know why, but I have a thing with always using the innermost fitting room. I quietly slammed pushed the door open and closed it. As I turned around my chest hit someone’s back. Ant it wasn’t just someone’s back.
