Drew’s POV

(Play the song on the right while reading this --->)

That was enough. I couldn’t stand being on the same table with those two love birds. I knew something happened between them, the fact that Wes was all sure of himself about picking her up and bringing her to the dinner, he planned it to get her back. And he sure did. I’m sad that I heard it from Laraine; I was expecting Madison to be the first one to tell me.

I wonder how she feels. I wonder if she knows how broken I am. Why did she hide it? She should have told me the minute she stepped into the house and looked me in the eye. But she didn’t and that hurts. Was she planning on continuing being with me and being with Wes behind my back? No, of course not. Wes wouldn’t let her do that. He wants her as much as I do. I should have known this would happen any time soon. Everything was too good to last forever. Even though I saw it coming, it still hurts. She doesn’t like me, she never did and she didn’t have the guts to tell me that from the very start. If she stopped me from kissing her that day at her house, I wouldn’t be as hurt as I am now but I kissed her and she kissed me back. How right the world was then.

Wes always gets the girls. I don’t know, what does he have to be so lovable? Am I that bad? Why did he steal her from me when he told me it was fine the fact of me being with her? I don’t fucking get it! She was using me to forget about Wes but it seems that I wasn’t a good enough “toy” to accomplish that goal. I’m so stupid! I treated her the best way possible; I told her I loved her.

Oh wait.

She never said she loved me back. Right. I was so blind, I was so freaking blind. I didn’t see the obvious because I was so overwhelmed with her, I was so happy to finally be with her. This is my entire fault; I should have never got in between her and Wes. I should have never fall in love with her. Meeting her was a mistake, everything was a mistake.

I feel tears starting to well in my eyes. No Drew, you’re not gonna cry, pull yourself together! She’s just a girl! I stand up from the garden bench I was sitting on and shake off my jeans. Right then, I hear the sound of a door slamming. Great. I walk to the opposite way of the house and start making my way to a bar not too far from here. But I’m immediately stopped with a hand grabbing my arm.

“Drew, stop” her sweet innocent voice gives me chills. Her hand touching my bare arm makes me clench my jaw and close my eyes because this is getting too painful, I won’t be able to feel her touching me ever again.

“Talk to me, please” she continues talking and I turn around and see the image of her with a worried expression on her face. She looks so beautiful today. How? How can that be possible? Why does she have to be so perfect? She’s making it even harder. She takes little steps towards me and I can’t stand being here knowing that I will never kiss her again. I turn my gaze away from her but her hand finds its way to my face, sending electricity through my entire body.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I ask, still not looking at her. She quickly removes her hand from where she had it and from the corner of my eye I can see her leaning her head down to her feet with her hair covering her face.

“I- I didn’t wanna hurt you, I didn’t know how to tell you” she says still looking down. I close my eyes one more time now trying to calm myself down. I pull her face up so her green eyes are looking at me. They’re a little watery, I can tell that.

“I’m sorry Drew, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I still love Wes, I’m sorry about everything” wow that hurt. Hearing her saying that hurts like hell. I felt a punch on my heart as she said the words “I still love Wes”. She never stopped loving him and I’m feeling tremendously stupid. Anger runs through my entire body. I can’t believe this is happening, we were going on the right tracks and then Wes decides to blow everything up. I can’t be here; I need to be alone now. I turn around and start walking away. She doesn’t move, she’s not coming after me but her voice makes me stop from taking another step.
