This story is about a Japanese boy and girl who are supernatural twins who never have an easy time dealing with anything in life. Their definitions of school, domestic life, and friends are completely different from that of everybody else's.
Satoru and Chieko Sasaki are two expendable human subjects in a socially tested government experiment in hopes of learning more about genetic modification on organisms. Once they find out, their lives are rendered a confusing trouble from there.
