A deafening scream rang through the air reaching all across the distric, which could most definitely be heard all the way by the king on his snug throne ruling over a land of fools in his cheep garden chair yet no one in the entire neighbourhood seemed to be the least bit curious as to why, because at the household of Milani, screams such as the one I so alarmingly released were much too regular;
My dad, who was a soldier in the survey corps had just returned from beyond the walls. About a thousand men went but less than two hundred made it back. My dad was extremely fortunate to have been able to retreat back behind the safety of the walls however he had lost his freedom as he was unable to bring back his eyes from the outside world.

Mom went to the gates to go get him in a hasty manor throwing on a long draping cardigan.I had to stay home with my three younger sisters Fraya ages 9, Aris aged 6 and Sapphire age 5, who were on the porch messing around pretending they were titans whilst I was inside roasting a gorgeous fair sized chicken I had bought earlier that day yet the fact that my sisters were making a mockery of the Titan scourge enfuriated me from head to toe; as a result I left the kitchen stomping outside:
"Do you even have the slightest bit of respect!?" I screamed feeling my face lighting up in a shade of scarlet but Fraya just replied to me with a laugh
" Ha ha, oh come on do you even remember how to have fun at all, Hm? You always have to step in and ruin our fun Icy. What are you? A grown up or something"
"My name is Ices you imbecile! Say it right already!"
"Yeah I miss it when you were fun too when you would play with us" Sapphire said making it obvious she was attempting to sound cute but Aris looking mad at her because that was something we all hatted, she sniffed the air
"Ices you idiot! You're burning the food again!"
I realised she was right as I turned around seeing smoke coming out of the kitchen.
"Ai! Not again, I'm so dead!"
I managed to remove the chicken without burning myself but that didn't mean I was out of trouble, oh heck no. That was the second time this week and my mom could smell the burning 3 houses away, building up rage every step.
"Oh my god that girl burned it again! Why can't she just listen when I tell her something the first time?"
She was talking to my dad but it was more than clear he wasn't in the right state of mind at the time: he had a thick layer of bandages wrapped around his vacant eye sockets but the momoeries of the outside were still playing off loud and clear in his head, playing back the screams of his comrades. When he arrived at our house he never even spoke a word to us, mom just brought him to heir room so he could rest but she came back after me pulling my ear hard.
"Why can't you just listen to me straight away, hm!?"
"I did but then-"
"Don't give excuses! It was your job to do this and now you've ruined dinner again!"
"Well sorry! We can't all be perfect!" I yelled back but that was the last straw for mom
"Are you talking back to me now!?" That's when she grabbed the wooden spatula. Which is where that scream originated from.

I was then sent to my room with a couple bruises and a bleeding lip being more or less sore all over but I dare say it wasn't something I wasn't used to. In fact my mom wasn't the most understanding person so when I attempted to tell her I was trying to defend dad's and the other soldiers in the survey corps' honour she just yelled at me and yelled holding me by my hair
"Don't talk such bullshit! You're always doing other useless things and are never focussed! You need to change yourself and do it now! Now get out of my sight I don't want to see you for the rest of the day!" Even though she has sworn to me a lot it still anoys me and not because it is rather rude but because she always tells us not to and then does it herself...

I went to my room and just decided to draw a picture of my friends who I missed so dearly. Me,Mikasa Ackerman, Eren Jaeger and Armin Arlert. They were my closest friends until my mom decided they were a bad influence on me and we moved away. I never saw them since that day about half a year ago. I attempted to sneak out one time yet my mother caught me hit me as well as yelling more hurtful words at me. I never acted like they bothered me but in reality they were like daggers stabbing me from every direction destroying my selfesteem and my trust. But I didn't have much to complain because soon after we settled into our new house I made friends with some new people. A cheerful blond haired girl with hazel coloured eyes called Kya and a tall black haired girl that wore her hair in a short low braid with two strands of hair infront called Mi-sa. We got very close and they filled the hole the others unintentionally left in my heart although I always felt like there was still something missing, something unreplaceable gone from my life.

Me, Kya and Mi-sa would play outside on our street because my parents wouldn't let me go out much further unless it was to go to the butchers or do chores. And we were the most unlikely of friends. My entire family was Indian Asian so my family always received some kind of descrimination and Kya was a American girl, one thing i loved about that was her acccent. And Mi-sa a real character, her mind as strong as her muscles. They never acted like the other people and neither were my old friends which is I guess one of the reasons why I missed being with them. I especially missed Armin, he was always nice to me in a way I never expected was even possible but he proved it to be true. I wasn't schooled anywhere because my mom said the kids at school were Ill mannered and, again, a bad influence so she decided to teach me herself how to read and write and martial arts yet my mom was as bad a teacher as she was at showing comassion and when ever I got something wrong she would make me feel useless and depressed yet Armin stepped up and helped me by teaching me to read and his methods were a bazillion times more effective as I had mastered it in a few months as when I practice with my mom I had been at it since I could speak. I decided to introduce them one day because I felt I felt such happiness I offered him over to eat with us because even though my mom wasn't always the most pleasant person to make an acquaintance with and come back again to recognise her as a friend, she was a true artist in the kitchen. I told her he tutored me and how he was one of my best friends in the whole entire world but she instead replied with a much less apreciative response
"Why are you hanging around with boys?"
I had never been so disappointed in my life and I can remember a look on Armin's face which summed up the same thoughts that were floating around my head too. And then to make it worse she told me
"I'm not saying you can't be friends with Mikasa just make sure she's not a lesbian"
I got so annoyed with her I couldn't even speak to her for the rest of the week. Armin and I told the rest she said that and tried to come up with a plan to make her see them differently. That was the last time I saw them because we moved to the center of the district and yet even though my mom has served me all this heart ache on a silver platter she ment well and if only I had realised this before the Titans broke through Wall Maria.....
