2: Never Forget

Belle rushed to her next class, only just managing to get in on time. She thought over what Ms. Acosta had said. After all, she had had a crush on Amelia since she had transferred here two years ago. did she think that she would actually manage to admit it to her? No. It was one of those things she wished she was brave enough to say. After school, she checked her phone, seeing that no one had texted her. It had been three days since someone had contacted her, and she felt like she was going insane.

Amelia sat down at her computer, checking her phone as well. She had multiple conversations that were unread, mostly because she couldn't be bothered to talk to anyone. Scrolling through them, she began to feel her mood falling.

"Idiot." She scolded herself, "You know this happens when you look at your texts." That's when she noticed her one chat that she had replied to, three days ago.

Hey, it's Amelia. Wanna talk?

Belle glanced at her phone, seeing the notification. She almost died of fangirling as she answered. Her heart felt a thousand times lighter. As she kept talking however, she noticed that Amelia seemed to be distant.

Amelia, can I ask you something?

Yeah, sure.

What do you think of me?

Amelia didn't respond for a moment,

What?

Like... am I your friend?

Of course. I'm sorry I don't talk to you much, but I do notice you.

Belle paused, wondering how she had managed to read her mind.

Can I tell you something? I don't want it to ruin our friendship...

Um... sure.

Okay... I'm sorry I din't tell you before... but... never mind.

Belle didn't respond, and didn't respond for the rest of the night. Amelia sighed,

"I'll have to ask her in person then." She looked in the mirror, tracing her square jawline, "I guess we both have secrets."
