I snapped out of my trance and rushed back to the kitchen. I knew the food wouldn't be ready yet but, I didn't want to stay out there and make a fool of myself.

"Oh, good job, Niall! You scared her away!" A deep voice yelled. I peeked out from behind the door, seeing Niall looking rather disappointed. Quickly closing the door, I went to check on the food.

Niall's POV

Damn, I thought. Maybe Harry was right. Maybe I had scared her off. I shook my head and returned to the table.

"Aw!" Louis cooed, pinching my cheek. "Did your girlfriend run off?"

"Oh, shut up, Louis!" I said, batting his hand away. Everyone chuckled and continued to chatter loudly. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Briana emerge from the kitchen, arms full of plates. I nearly jump up when she loses her balance for a split second but, she regained it quickly and slowly made her way to our table.

Briana's POV

Oh, shit. I really hope he didn't see that, I thought after I tripped . I make my way to the table slowly, the boys not as big of an obnoxious and loud disruption as I had expected. After all, they are teenage boys. Niall, who must have noticed I was struggling with the food, hopped up and sprinted over to me.

"Need some help?" He asked, smiling. I nodded sheepishly and handed him a couple plates. He bumped his shoulder with mine playfully and followed me to the table. I quickly set the plates down, receiving a 'thank you' from each of them.

"No problem!" I replied, smiling.

"Are you American?" one of them asked curiously. I nodded.

"That's cool! I'm Zayn, by the way." He told me.

"And, I'm Liam." The one who had ordered the food stated.

"Harry." The curly-haired one said, who appeared to be the youngest.

"Niall." An Irish accent drawled sexily. My eyes met his and I swear I must have blushed so deeply.

"Don't forget about Louis!" A guy, who I assume is Louis, exclaimed, a pout on his face.

"How could we ever?" Harry teased.

"It's nice to meet you all. I'm Briana." I replied, a small smile present on my face.

"By the way," I started curiously. "How did you boys make it through all this?" I asked, motioning to the door, screams still loud and clear through the door. They all exchanged looks of delight.

"Weeell," Louis started, leaning his elbows on the table.

"We walked near the edges of the crowd and tried to stay far from the main point of interest." Niall finished quickly. They all gave him curious looks.

"Yeah, that's smart. I heard they were all here for some boy band or whatever." I told them, making my way back to the front counter.

"Oh, really?" Niall said, pretending to be interested.

I shrugged. "Yeah, I guess so."

I wonder what that was all about.

Niall's POV

"What was that all about?" Louis whispered, leaning over the table.

"What?" I asked, looking down at my food and shoving a rather large piece of chicken in my mouth.

"You know what!" Harry said around a mouthful of pasta. I swallowed quickly and looked up to meet their curious gaze.

"I didn't want her to know who we are. Who I am." I told them. "I really like her and I want to finally have a real genuine relationship with someone who I know for sure isn't with me for my fame or money!"

They all nodded in understanding and we continued with our meals.

Briana's POV

I returned to the kitchen and told Matt, the owner, I had given the boys their orders. He nodded and smiled.

"Thanks a lot. You know," He trailed off. "My waitress just quit a couple days ago. The jobs yours if you want it."

"Really?!" I had been trying to get a job ever since I moved here, so this was definitely a plus. He chuckled and nodded.

"I'll take it!" He told me to come back again on Monday afternoon.

I walked back to the front to find the boys table empty and a few crumpled pounds on the edge. I sighed, disappointed Niall hadn't done... something. Anything. I stopped to think. Had I wanted him to do something? Hells yeah! He was cute and I'm single. I sighed and picked up the money to put it in the cash register. I groaned. As much as I had tried to memorized the currency here, it wasn't making any sense. I returned to the table and cleaned up the dishes and found a neatly folded piece of paper amongst the food and silverware. I picked it up and opened it.

Briana, It was really nice meeting you. though, I wish we'd had more time to talk. maybe we could set something up? Call me.

It then read his number and a little 'Love, Niall' as a parting statement. I smiled and stuffed it into my pocket.
