The two married quite early in life so Sam had to still finish college. While in college he studied to be an anesthesiologist. Amy, on the other hand, stood all day staring into space until Sam returned to their apartment. Over time Sam completed all of his schooling and was now a full time anesthesiologist that was making good money to supply him and Amy. The two never had a child.
