It took Lucy a couple of hours before she had managed to wake up from her deep deep slumber. Her eyes fluttered open and she internally cursed the bright light that glared from above her. She squints in reflex and tries to look around but her eyes were going out of focus. Her head was throbbing and the room was spinning, oh god she felt like throwing up. She racks her brain to remember the events that occurred prior to her blacking out but they were all jumbled...the extensive hours of car drive, to making it out if Florida, entering Miguel's premises...then...CAMILA!

"Shit, what did they do with the young brunette?" She thought worriedly.

When Lucy thought she had gotten herself together she let her eyes wander around again, seeing more clearly this time. She notices the area was fairly large and had white walls, and white tiles to match. A large and thick blue curtain was drawn at the middle that prevented her from seeing what was on the other side of the room. She groans in frustration and sits up only to notice her wrists were being restricted by a limb holder.

"What the fuck?" She mumbles and pulls frantically but to no luck it didn't budge, she had to see that coming.

Lucy plops back down the bed and keeps herself from screaming, she was treated as if she were crazy and didn't want to prove their point by doing just that. She was only trying to help Camila out, why would they try to restrict her when it was clearly not her fault? The girl looked so helpless under those assholes' grips and struggled so much to no avail. She remembers punching that one guy over and over again, if he were breathing right now he'd have to consider himself lucky. God if only she hand't been pulled back by....

"Vero," she whispers to herself in disbelief. Her stomach turned and her heart did backflips as she visualized their recent encounter in years. She couldn't believe it. "Oh my god..."

"No. It probably wasn't Vero, yeah. It couldn't have been...maybe I was just seeing things like I was before." She tries to resonate in her head. Lucy had left the country for good after the downfall, she moved back to Colombia with her father in hopes of feeling less shitty than she already was. Nothing was left for her in Florida...She fell into deep sadness and was convinced her heart had literally broken, she remembers not being able to do anything at all in the first few months that she had went away. She couldn't, not when she was so used to doing everything with the love of her life.

Lucy thought she might be a little crazy for even thinking she saw Vero, she laughs sadly and shakes the growing ache in her heart. 'Ugh, I am such a sap.' She thinks to herself.

The Latina's eyes look down to her hands and congratulates herself when she sees her knuckles were bruised from all the blows she had given those guys – especially the last one –, good job Lucía. At least she could tell Lauren she tried her best?

"I fixed those up."

Lucy's head snaps up to the direction of the voice from the other side of the room and her mouth falls agape in astonishment. 'Maybe they're right, I'm fucking insane.' She whispers to herself. Lucy couldn't believe this...she left like someone was playing a cruel joke that'd break her heart in the end. She shakes her head slowly, she convinces herself that she must be dreaming.

Lucy looks down and puts her 110% effort not to look back up as the sound of heels clicking became louder with each step the other took forward. But not even that high of a percentage could stop her from looking back into the hazel eyes she adored so much. It would make sense if it were Vero, I mean it's not that crazy right? After all Miguel IS her father.

The last thing Lucy had heard about the other Latina was that she was going to be sent away from home for quite some time. Miguel didn't want to overwhelm his daughter with all that she had missed especially since she was experiencing trauma at the time. The man refrained Lucy from seeing his daughter, telling her Vero needed some time and she had to focus on one thing which was to get better. Lucy didn't understand, why couldn't she help her get better? They were always there for one another and she'd promised she always will be. Miguel did everything in his willpower to prevent the two from seeing each other and that was when Lucy grew to resent him. Vero didn't even know her and Lucy didn't get to say goodbye. She stayed in the country a few months even after Vero was gone. She wanted to be there when she came back, but when was she going to come back? After all the extensive researches she went through and the numerous people she reached out to find the girl she ended up with nothing but disappointment. She began thinking realistically, hoping would just break her more than it already was.
