Chapter 4 // Class

CASEY:

It was 5 minutes till 1st period and honestly i didn't know where the fuck Nathalie was, we agreed to meet in the cafeteria and well here I am, sitting alone on a table for six, eating ice cream like the loner I am. But then the bell rings I'm forced to slurp up the rest of my ice cream and head to first period. Science.

"SETTLE DOWN EVERYONE" my teacher calls out in attempt to stop the class from talking. I sit next to this girl called maddie, she usually just ignored me, but ocassionally she would ask for a pencil or apologize when her elbow grazed mine while jotting notes down.

The classroom door opens, whoever were to come in only now is in some deep shit, 10 minutes late, mrs berkley wont be too kind with detentions.
A tall boy walks into class, sorry did I say tall? He looks like a 9ft giraffe. But man I've never seen this guy ever before.
"Mr Hemmings please take a seat, ill be expecting to see you after school."
He nods and pulls his bag tighter around his shoulder.
Maddie stands up and to my suprise, runs over and gives the hemmings boy a really tight hug, maybe a little too tight?
"Luke! I've missed you!"
"M you saw me yesterday.." the tall blonde boy replies with a annoyed tang to his words.
"RIGHT SETTLE DOWN" "Luke go sit in Maddie's seat next to casey as we need to pair up for todays lesson."
Wait wut.
Luke plops down on the seat beside me and throws his bag under the table and right onto the floor. He turns to me, with a wide smile
"hey"
"hi?"
I give a small gasp as I notice the small piercing resting on his lips. My eyes dont leave the tight black ring when I blurt out
"I've always wanted one"
His smile curls at the tips, a wide grin now plastered on his face.
"I actually got it pretty recently, you like it?"
"I am so jelly right now"
A chuckle escapes his mouth and we are hushed by a monster like teacher towards the front.
The project was literally to make a replica of the solar system, why? Honestly I dont even know, our topic is on rocks.

We go on to talk about loads of different things, ice cream flavors, emberessing moments, he gives me the nickname casedilla and I fire back with Lucinda making him laugh and talk in a grandma voice for the rest of the lesson

"RIGHT EVERYONE THIS ASSIGNMENT IS DUE NEXT LESSON"
"Luke we haven't finished yet" I stare down at our failed attempt at making our planet earth, it ended up to be just weird blobs of green and blue which mixed together and just made a complete mess
"You wanna come over to my house, to finish the project?"
"you have detention"
"do I?" He sacrcastically says "well I guess I lost track of time and missed it"
This time I let out the small smile, he stares at me softly for a second and brakes the gaze with him pulling his backpack over a shoulder. I do the same and throw away our earth replica on the way out the door. Luke is ahead of me when he calls back
"I'll see you after school casedilla!"
I give a smile as a goodbye but it quickly fades away when I remember. Nathalie.

Yay it didn't take me 4 yrs for a new update :), sorry! Im really lazy and I have this speech competition at school and have to focus all of my time on it. I dont mind public speaking but when its to my entire yr you would understand why I'm just that tad bit nervous.
Hopefully more updates come soon.
