Kat's POV
The morning sun cracks through the blinds. A finger pokes my arm repetitively. "Stop!" I said, tiredly. Since my face is practically in the pillow, you would've heard a mmphh. NOBODY and I mean nobody wakes me up!
Well... except for my little brother. I lazily curl up in my cozy bundle of comfort. I am not getting out of my bed. What's so great about today, anyway?
"Time to wake up, Kat."
"Never..."
He yanked my blanket off my bed. The cold air wraps around my body. I shivered while I was rolling off my bed.
" You are gonna pay!" I chased him around my room. He giggled as I poked him with my pillow. We continued this childish horseplay, until we both collasped to the floor. We both got up from the ground.
Jake headed back to his room.
While, I go into my closet. I grabbed my white Aeropostale lace top and dark skinny jeans. I brushed my teeth and changed my clothes. I applied black mascara. Then I applied my MAC Moon's Reflection eye shadow. ( btw the color is blue)I also applied my Maybelline lip balm. Finally, I quickly brushed my hair.
I look at myself in the mirror. You know to make sure it looks ok.
Being the weird person I am, I literally butt scoot my way down the stairs. I don't have an injured leg. But seriously, I don't know why.
Sometimes I act normal and sometimes I don't. In other words I'm unique.
"Kat, what the are you doing?"
"Going down the stairs. Duh..!"
My brother shook his head and carried on with his business.
I swung the pantry door open and grabbed Honey Nut Cheerios. I gotta say ... I LOVE CHEERIOS! I am addicted to the sweet taste of honey. Every morning I would stuff my face with Cheerios. For your information I ain't a pig. I eat normally like a normal person. Like everyone else I love food. Food is my life. Besides I depend on it .
I eat a lot of food and I don't care if they call me fat because I'm not! I hate when people go call others fat. People are different sizes. We can't all be the same perfect size. People that label others as ugly should really turn that around. They are what that is truly ugly. Everyone has insecurities and I am one of them. There is not a day where I feel fat, ugly, stupid, helpless, worthless, a loser, and a bunch of crappy things people come up with.
So I am telling you, it DOESN'T matter how ugly you are or how fat you are. You are a good person inside. No matter what those haters say. Don't let them kill the strength in you.
I set the empty bowl in the sink and washed the bowl. I dried my hands and check the clock. It was 7:14. I'm gonna be late. I bolted out of the door holding my backpack close to me. Oh, god the bus was coming! I sprinted to my bus stop and didn't stop to catch a breath. When I reached the bus stop, I was panting like a dog. The door was closed shut. The bus driver turned and saw me.
The doors shot open and I walked into the bus. I scanned the bus for an empty seat. The front row seats were taken up. I found an empty seat and sat down. The bus moved and you all know where its going. I unzipped my backpack and pulled out my iPhone 5. I attached my ear buds and scrolled through my list of songs. I tapped on Roar by Katy Perry. I lay back and let the music play.
I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath..
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess.
So I sit quietly. Agreed politely..
I guess that I forgot I had a choice.
I let you push me past the breaking point.
I stood for nothing.
So I fell for everything.
You help me down but I got up.
Already pushing off the dust.
You hear that voice you hear that sound.
Like thunder gonna shake the ground.
You help me down but I got up.
Get ready 'cause I've had enough.
I see it all. I see it now.
I got the eye of the tiger a fighter.
Dancing through the fire.
'Cause I am a champion.
And you're gonna hear me roar....
LOUDER,louder than a lion.
'Cause I am a champion.
And you're gonna hear me roar...
I peaked out of the window and saw my school's building. I saw Traughber Junior High School in big bold letters. The bus drove up to the bus lane and came to a sudden stop. I paused my song and got my things together. I took out my ear buds and wrapped them around my phone. I slipped my phone in a pocket that was in my backpack.
I got off the bus and looked through crowd and spotted my friends. Niki, Jenny, and Adriana were laughing their heads off about something. I walked up to them and smiled.
