Alan's POV

She looks so innocent and fragile at the same time. I always run into her in the hallway. Dang, that girl walks fast. Every time I lay my eyes on her, she quickly glances away. Something about her is very intriguing. Maybe it's her eyes. I don't know. Her face stays emotionless. She can't hid the truth. I know that she likes me. I notice the way she looks at me. Whatever. I'm going to Health.

Kat's POV

I just got out my fourth period class, Spanish. I maneuvered pass people in the hallway. People in the hallways always give me looks. I mostly ignore them. Jeez. Why can't people mind their own business? Most of the time they let me be invisible. I like it that way. Yesss! It's finally fifth period. Time to go to Health. I guessing you guys are thinking.. why does she like health? It scarred my life. I am a mature person. I do get grossed out from time to time. Alan is in that class with me!! I would fan girl over the fact that he's in my class. But long story short that would be weird. I made a trip to my locker and walked into health. I got to my desk and looked over my homework.

I heard feet shuffle to desks. I didn't have to look up to see who it was. I knew who it is. I pretended to be focused on my homework. I felt his fixed stare burning through me. I tried to ignore him.

The bell rang to warn us that the period had begun. Ms. Magano eyes searched for empty seats. Her eyes then focused on the computer. Her fingers typed away on the keyboard No one said a word. I looked at Alan from the corner of my eyes. He sat there and tapped his foot. He turned to his friends and talked to his friends in a low voice. I can still hear him though. Some people don't do a good job of whispering.

Our desks are close. My desk is the second to last desk in the back of the room. The very last desk belongs to Austin. Austin doesn't bother me. On the left side of my desk is Chole. I hate her sassy attitude. Alan sits behind Chole. They are sort of friends.

Ms. Magano got off her chair and explained the parts of the Respiratory System. She pulled up a power point.

Half listening, I wrote down the key words in my packet. She went through the lesson pretty quickly. We had some time for ourselves. I have another worksheet to add into my hw folder.

People gathered into groups. My friend,Nicole, fluttered into the social zone. I was too lazy to join her.

Alan's attention was engrossed in a book. The voices around the room didn't seem to bother him. Everyone is busy talking. Maybe I could talk to him. What would I say? I pretended to look at the clock. But truly, my eyes were fixed on him. He looks so cute when he's focused on something. He closed his book shut and put it away. I broke away from the gaze and pulled my binder closed to me.
