Hello people reading this! :D A quickish note from the future:
(/).(\) I apolagize for not updating in a while, school has been a butt with an overload of confusing homework. Not fun. ._. I'm going to be honest here, writing hasn't been such a big priority recently. I've had a lot of things going on recently (although homework is a factor) and you may have noticed that the book dropped a hundred reads or so. This might have happened when Alex decided to finally clean up the book and start deleting old chapters when OH MY GOD WHERE DID THAT 400 GO. (This just shows that, say, around 100 people just look at the prolouge and decide to slither away instead of reading the actual story. Shame.)
(Although with the writing of that thing I don't say I blame them.)
Right, so I've been afraid to poke this. For a while. Even with a 50-yard stick. Nice going Alex.
The only way that I can keep all of the reads is by slowly replacing every old chapter with a new one, but at the rate I've been posting that might take a while. So I'm going to kindly ask that you maybe don't read any chapter labeled old??? It's pretty embarassing and makes the obvious plot pretty obvious pretty quickly xD Hopefully I can fix this bullcrap pretty quickly and make this a good book.
Another side note: This is a book about old OCs- my first ever, to be exact. I made Angelkit a pretty mary-sue type character with her name and pelt and bla bla bla. It's sort of like a special thing that can't be replaced or changed, so please bear all that godlike crap. But behold: a problem! I started roleplaying as Angelkit at the stage of warrior status and never actually gave her a backstory, so now I have to come up with that, somehow hide the mary-sue stuff, and let it slide into Purdy (PurdyStoleTheSun)'s Oceanclan book. I'd also like to say that the reason for 2 'Shadow' prefix cats is that one was created earlier and one later. We really didn't think that though xD Hopefully you guys can still enjoy the book through all the crap I write/don't write and the white perfect cat with an absolutely perfect life.
Thank you for your (hopefully exsistant) understanding! c:

A long, long time ago...
There were three clans that lived in a large, vast forest. These were the first three clans- LionClan, TigerClan, and LeopardClan. LionClan was made up of the boldest and strongest cats with golden fur and large manes. TigerClan was cunning and well-suited for nighttime with their orange and black striped pelts, and LeopardClan was full of fast, gold cats with black spots that loved water. These three clans of large cats fought often, and friendships of cats between these clans were not allowed.
Once, there was a cat that lived in LeopardClan named Silverstone. She loved her clan and would die a million times to protect it, loyal from nose to tail-tip. However, there was someone she loved even more: a cat from TigerClan named Leafstrike. If friendships between two cats from different clans were bad, relationships were horrible and broke the warrior code even more so. If Silverstone remained with Leafstrike, she was breaking the code she knew and loved.
And that's just what she did.
One day, Silverstone's very own leader, Swiftstar, caught the two cats together. He told Silverstone that if she kept seeing Leafstrike, she would have an unthinkable punishment. Silverstone would not agree to Swiftstar's demands, and so, by the next two full moons, the punishment was carried out.
It was the night of a special event with all the clans, an early version of gatherings now held today. Instead of happening every full moon, they would occur on the first full moon after a whole season had passed. Here, cats would be allowed to talk to cats from other clans, but not reveal any plans or secrets. Any sign of friendship between them would result in a punishment for both of the cats. Silverstone had warned Leafstrike about her leader's warning, but so much time had passed that they assumed that nothing would happen.
