Summer Camp: A Brannie Story

Took A Tumble

The swimmers got done with their practice early so they were aloud to go visit the other places. Brennan came to the gym. He looks so perfect standing there watching us. He then finds his eyes watching me. I'm working on my round-off backhand spring fulls when suddenly, right before my eyes. I don't land it. I lay there on the gym floor. Brennan throws his swim bag behind him and runs as fast as he can over to me. "ANNIE!! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!! PLEASE TALK TO ME!" Brennan screams almost crying. I think I might've passed out. But, when I woke up, Brennan had carried me to our room and layed me on the bottom bunk. Brennan was laying right beside me hugging me, and I was hugging him back. I felt comfortable in his arms. I forgot about Brannie. I forgot about how we "hate each other". I forgot that I really do like him.

(Brennan POV)

When Annie fell, I flipped out. I care about her, and I realized that. She's beautiful, sweet, talented. I ran over and almost cried. I didn't know what had happened to her. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to our room. I don't think Annie likes me,
but I layed her down, tucked her in, and I layed beside her.
(30 min later*)
Everyone gets back from the gym and it's time for lunch. I wake Annie up and carry her to lunch because she can barely walk. We count off (say our number to make sure we have everyone) and we walk to lunch. Katie waits for Annie and I to make sure she's okay. "Annie, are you feeling alright? Camp is gonna suck without being able to do gymnastics without my best friend." Katie says to Annie.
(Annie POV😝)
"Yeah, I'm fine Katie...and I know I won't be able to do gymnastics with you. I love you Katie. You're like my sister." I say to Katie. But in my head, I'm thinking, I love you too Brennan. Since we all have separate rooms, I'll be able to get to know Brennan better and understand why we hate(ed) each other. But we get to lunch and Katie gets my plate of food. Me, Katie, Brennan, and Liv sit together. We eat our lunch, and then Brennan carries me again. We finally get back to our room. I shut the door behind us. But Brennan and I both see something, something that will change the mood to awkward. "What...happened?" Brennan and I both say in shock.
