I smiled as I took another step forward and the light shined down on me, I looked back as Best grabbed my hand and I smiled at that and I quickly tightened my hand around his, I smiled at the crowd as they got to their feet and gave us a standing applause. I smiled at Indigo as he walked forward and instead of shaking my hand, he pulled me into a hug and I was a little taken back by it but I hugged back as soon as I could.
"You look so beautiful today." He said to me as he held my hands, I smiled and nodded a thank you toward him as the crowd refused to quiet at the moment.
It was nice that we made a stir with the crowd because with the other districts, everyone would cheer here and there but now, it was it was our turn with the interview and people were enjoying that... they were enjoying us! I saw a little child moving toward us with a rose in her hand from the crowd, she had a adorable one-tooth less smile and I smiled as I headed toward her as well, I squatted as she sat on the neck of her father, smiling up at me.
I gladly took the rose and gave her a peck on the cheek, I feel in love with children when I first met Gaius, who was a timid, starving little guy that didn't want to be touched or bothered and he made me think that maybe he was the kind that needed time. I stood up straight and headed back to where Best and Indigo were waiting on me, I took my seat very, very close to Best and he quickly placed his arms around my shoulder as I crossed one leg over the other and leaned back into his arms.
"It's very nice to finally meet you two face to face." Indigo said, he looked between us before he looked to the crowd. "Aren't there astonishing, Capitol?"
The crowd cheered loudly as he smiled before turning back to us, he took a gulp as he waited for the crowd to finish their loud uproar once again, I smiled as I glanced up at Best and he looked down at me, winking. I giggled and put my hand over my mouth in an embarrassing way as the crowd only enjoyed it more.
"God, they're pretty together." Indigo said toward the cameras as they all moved to get a better shot, we were the ones that everyone couldn't wait to see, and that made me feel good deep down. "How old are you, Greier? Oh and must I mention, beautiful, beautiful dress you have on."
"Haha thank you, and I'm sixteen."
"Sixteen... you look way younger than that." Indigo said, adjusting himself in his seat as if he was getting comfortable.
"How old are you?" I asked out of habit before I realized what I did, I quickly looked around in shock of what I just asked, the crowd ate it up.
"Old... I'm very old." Indigo chuckled. "He's just amazing, isn't he?" The crowd loved us, they really did.
"How old are you, Best?"
"Eighteen." Best answered, his deep, sexy voice sent a shiver down my spine and I had to close my eyes as a small smile came over my face.
"Sixteen and eighteen... so, how long have you two known each other... before the reaping or after?" I glanced at Best, did he really want people to know? He nodded for me to go ahead.
"We knew each other before we were both picked to be tributes." The crowd gasped as Indigo slightly moved his head to the side in shock, people usually don't know their companion or never paid attention to them.
"Oh... were you two together before the reaping?" He asked, leaning closer in a 'I-want-to-know' type of way.
"No, we were just acquaintances." I said, I couldn't call him my friend because in my head, he was more than that.
"Woow... so, Greier, what do you want to be when you grow up?" I was happy that he wanted to get off topic.
"I want... I want to be a Rancher." I said, smiling at him.
