~Spencer's P.O.V.~

BING BONG. I hear the doorbell sound through the door. It was soon opened by a small girl about four years old. "hello!" she said excitedly.

"Hi, kid do you know where Finn or Jade is?" I responded bending down to her height.

"Emily! How many time do I have to tell you? Don't answer the door without our permission!" I heard a rather stressed voice say as a middle aged woman walked down the hall. "Oh, hello Spencer!" she exclaimed as she noticed me standing in the doorway. "Come in, come in." She said opening the door wider. "Hello Mrs Jones." I responded walking into the hall.

"Emily, go upstairs and find Jade or Finn for me." Mrs Jones instructed the little girl

"Okay!" Emily almost shouted before running up the stairs.

"So, how have you been?" she said closing the door and gesturing towards the living room.

"Umm... Everything's been good really." I said awkwardly.

"Would you like a drink or anything?" she asked,

"Just water, please." I responded. She got up and left the room. I sat awkwardly on the sofa for a while until Jade walked into the room. I looked up at her as she sat down on the other sofa. I could see sorrow in her eyes. "Where is she?" I asked knowing exactly why Finn wasn't around.

"In our room." she said blankly, "she passed out after wards. I'll take you up." She stood back up and walked towards the door. I followed her up the stairs to the top floor, and through the second door on the left. I walked in and saw Finn laying on the bed, tears dried on her cheeks. "they're getting worse." Jade said from next to me. I turned to her and saw her looking emotionlessly at Finn. "I know. If I could, I would adopt her, right now. but you know as well as I do my job will get in the way." Jade nodded. "By the way I have some news for you, and more specifically, her. You remember how I said I was going to try to track down some kind of family."

"yeah...?" Jade responded. curiously looking up at me.

"Well... Did she ever tell you she had a brother?"

"No. Does that mean she has one!" Jade almost shouted the last part out of excitement.

"Yes it does. He's only a half brother though, on her mother's side. He was adopted by a couple as soon as he was born. By my maths he should be about 9 or 10 years older than Finn"

"Oh my god! That's great!" She jumped up and down before looking back at me. She looked up at my face and her smile almost immediately disappeared. "There's a problem, isn't there?"

"They moved to America when he was around 10."

"What?! That's not fair! Why can't anything just be simple and good for her" Jade said her voice getting softer as she sat down on the bed next to Finn's head and pushed hair out of her eyes. "It's not that bad. I'm sure she'll recognise him when she sees him." I say shrugging my shoulders.

"what do you mean 'sees him'?"

"Why do you think I put so much effort into getting her a backstage pass."

"Wait. You're kidding me right. If you are it's a pretty sick joke."

"Nope not joking."

"Oh my sweet baby Jesus on a trampoline! Her brothers in a band!" Jade squeaked and jumped up to hug me "Thank you so much for everything. She wouldn't have survived this long without you. Even after you got her out of that hell hole." she said seriously. We were both soon distracted by a quiet shuffling from the bed. We both dashed to Finn's side as she slowly woke up. "Why hello there," Jade said quietly as she opened her eyes. She looked around confused for a moment until Jade spoke again, "you had another panic attack down stairs. you passed out in the hall and my god there are too many stairs in this house." Finn laughed quietly at the last part and sat up. "Whoa there, take it slow." I said worriedly

"I'm fine Spencer."

"You're not fine, you're just trying to convince me that you are because you're worried I won't take you to the concerts if you're not." I replied calmly "Remember; criminal psychologist." She turned her head and looked at me before saying quietly "Please let me go. I don't want to miss out."

"Don't worry we can still go but we'll figure out later if we will miss tonight's show and leave tomorrow."

"But I only have a back stage pass for this one,"

"I'm sure I could sort something out. Don't worry. Just go back to sleep you'll need your energy."

A/N~

Yay thanks for reading this crappy story (and hopefully liking it). Don't worry the plot picks up soon enough.  I know how annoying short chapters are but I have an English exam at like 8 in the morning tomorrow and its 10:54 so I should really sleep. But you'll get like three updates next week :D

(No promises but I'll try to write three more chapters, of a decent length, by next week)
