Elizabeth's POV
I'm in the middle of 7th period when I hear an announcement over the intercom, "Before heading back to your dorms after 7th period can all the Senior ladies meet me in the gym. Thank You." I groan out loud because I just know that this has something to do with the King coming at the end of the semester. When the last bell rings I get up and slowly make my way to the gym, I'm not in any rush to get there. Unfortunately for me the gym is close and I'm one of the first ones there. I sit on the bleachers and wait for Nicole and McKenzie. When all the girls get here the headmistress informs us that we will be taking new classes instead of our electives. They are supposed to 'prepare us for the King's court and teach us how to be proper ladies.' Ugh what a bunch of BS, I have to give up three classes just to take these stupid ladylike courses. Although I'm thankful we get to keep our core classes like math, english, history, and science. I can already tell that my life is going to be miserable from now on. I don't even want to find my mate yet, yes I know they will love me unconditionally, but I just want to be young and free a while longer, Not tied down and everyone expecting pups right away. There's just too many expectations when you find your mate and I don't know if I can handle that yet.

Sorry it is so short! this is really just a filler chapter and in the next one I'm going to skip a lot of time just so we can get to the good part!
