Resurrection

They stood in silence for a second. Lord Kosmin's expression, unreal. Lady Vanessa breathing hard and then taking a deep breath.

Tonka froze. His heart sinking into his stomach. He stared at Kosmin waiting for an order. Then it happened.

Thunder.

Thundering roars and Thundering stomps that once filled the sky and replaced the silence.

The Thunder began. Once more over centuries. The Thunder children are only used to in the Legends. Not the Thunder given by the ThunderGod. The Thunder given by the winged beasts. Loud Thunder. That could crush an elders hearing.

Kosmin stood abruptly. He grabbed his sword and ran outside followed by his guards and any soldiers he passed followed him. Tonka grabbed Lady Vanessa's wrist and looked at her purple eyes deeply.

"My Lady, you must come with me i shall direct you to the cellar and direct four guards and three archers to watch over you, let us hurry." Tonka spoke calmly not wanting to frighten her.

She nodded and they both ran down the stairs and headed outside where the battle had begun. Tonka picked her up and avoided falling rocks and falling archers. He ran to the old wine cellar where four guards already have been expecting them. He set her down and they all walked in. Tonka waited outside and locked the door.

He ran and signaled archers to defend the cellar. He grabbed his grip as he ran. A claw from a winged beast that his great grandfather killed over 100 years ago. He charged outside the castle walls to be greeted by scared villagers. He let them in the Castle following simple raid exercises.

He whistled a loud whistle and Cail was right at his side. He hopped on the silky black horse. He squeezed at his side gently. The horses muscles tightened and he galloped hard. Tonka was meet with his troops on both sides of him. They all nodded in agreement. Defend the king. Slay the beast.

Tonka leaned forward dodging rocks and wood boards. He pulled on Cail's reins and the horse went to an immediate stop. Tonka dismounted and drew his sword. He yelled and his troops charged with him.

They froze in fear. Their blood ran cold. Their hearts turned to stone. The sight was eating at the very marrow of their bones.

Thunder.

Thundering roars. Thundering stomps filled the silence.

Dragons.

They where back. Resurrected from the dead. Tonka's warriors dropped their swords. Tonka stared at his. His prestigious blade made from the purest steel blade. And his grip. A dragon claw from the beast Linois destroyed.

Tonka dropped to his knees staring at the beast towering above the land of Kia.

A large beast. Must have been 30 or 40 feet high. With a wingspan of at least 100 feet long. The scales of this beast had blood splattered along each one. Turning its green scales a dark red. It's eyes, milky white and full of rage. It had spikes placed along it back. Its claws were as long three houses. The beast was massive. Some scales were gone and could be used as weak spots if the soldiers were fast enough but the beast killed everything. It had scars on its wings and some burnt parts as well.

Tonka looked back at his cowerding men and gave them strength by lifting his sword and thrusting it forward. His men unfroze and charged forward.

The men dodge rocks and hid behind houses to get out of sight of the beast. From the hill Tonka looked up as the Lord's Royal guards and himself where charging into battle. Hunting eagles filled the skies pecking at the dragons eyes and neck. Ripping apart scales. The dragon clawed the birds and killed them instantly.

The soldiers filled the town with war chants. Tonka's troop began their assault at the base of the dragon. Other troops threw rope spears over the dragon and pulled it to the ground. Tonka stabbed inbetween scales and began climbing the massive beast. He men followed at his heels.

Stabbing between scales, avoiding the massive beasts wings, and climbing. All to destroy this ancient beast. He reached the neck and leap up at the beasts head. His sword above him. He swung a might blow into the skull but the dragon just roared a Thundering roar. He ran to the muzzle of the beast and grabbed one of the ropes. He tied it to another and swung beneath the bottom jaws of the beast. Landing at the top again and closing the mouth.

His men began stabbing the dragon. Some swords did damage others just mad it more irritated. It's milky eye full of rage Tonka threw his sword into the beasts eye and it closed it. His sword fell to the ground. The ground began to shake. But it wasn't the ground.

The beast was using its strength and rose from the ropes. Breaking all of them. Tonka's men jumped, some slid. Tonka staid still. He ran to head of the beast and pulled out two daggers from his armor. He remembered how Linois killed the beast, using his daggers and stabbing both in the center of the dragon. The weak spot was wear the most skin showed, the neck. He slid down the neck and turned. He noticed the spot instantly. He threw one dagger and the dragon fell to the ground.

Tonka gave out a mighty roar and a mightier leap. He stabbed the beast in the neck and turned the dagger. Twisting it and pulling it out along with some organs and blood. He leaped off the beast as it fell to the ground. He landed in a bush and he rolled out. He stayed still. Crouching. He turned his head so his left eye was the only thing seeing the massive beast crumble. It collapsed no less then 2 feet away from him. He stood.

He stood a Hero.
