The Future
It is 2100. The world has changed. All present day countries are gone. In 2049, just before World War 3, NATO and the UN collapsed.
World War 3 was fought between the New Allies (North and South Federations, EA, and Australia.) against the Asian Powers. The New Allies won, but Australia was destroyed.
North and Central America were transformed into the North Federation. They adopted the symbol of the Atlas Army, a brutal fighting force that prevented America from nuclear annihilation. The symbol stood for bravery, yet struck fear into the hearts of enemies.
The North Federation was created as an alliance after the war with the Middle East in 2039. This was dubbed the War on the East. The North Federation then turned into a governing body. The old countries are now the representing states. It then absorbed the North and Central American governments in 2045.
Russia and the Middle East saw this as a threat and mobilize their armies. This soon led to World War 3.
All hail the North Federation!
During the beginning of World War 3, the European Union (EU) took control of countries in Europe, excluding Russia. They renamed themselves the European Alliance (EA).
They created a symbol of hope and love. The newfound Hopefully Bird. This bird was very loving and generous. EA wanted to give hope when people saw their flag.
EA was torn apart during World War 3, millions sadly perished. But thanks to the hope-giving flag, the people rebelled and were freed from Russia's tyranny. The symbol has now replaced all European state flags.
After the formation of the North Federation, South America felt vulnerable against the Middle East and Russia. In the Brazilian Conference, held in Rio De Janeiro, South America's leaders united under a single flag. They called it the Southern Federation and became mutual friends with the North Federation.
The Southern Federation created an original symbol. They called it the Emblem of Duty. It's trident bottom symbolizes the army, navy, and air force. The double headed top represents the National-President and Senate. The flag had a black background, similar to the North Federation's.
The Asian Powers (AP) arose in 2050 to rival all other alliances. Unlike the others, the AP wasn't a united government. Instead it was an alliance with all Asian countries.
It created a symbol that stood for war. The symbol represents two parts of war, death and victory.
After their defeat in World War 3 (2051-2060), the powerful Asian countries forced the smaller Asian nations to be a state in the AP. This created, for the first in a long time, peace throughout all of Asia. The National Police force became its army in 2075 and enacted justice.
Finally, the African Empire. The African Union was founded in ashes of World War 3. It was virtually untouched during the war because of one factor. Plague. During the 3rd World War, the Great New Death swept through Africa and lower Asia. Much of Africa was sadly wiped out.
Shorty after WW3, in 2065, an African military group took over Egypt. With no outside intervention, the Good Military Organization took over North Africa. Surprisingly, they helped Africa. They reformed the government and cured the sick. They were dubbed the Good.
They soon were welcomed in all countries and their governments were soon replaced. All of Africa and a small part of old Jordan were made into the African Empire. They adopted the Good Military Organization's flag.

Side Notes:
•Antarctica is much more populated than in 2016, but after WW3, is only waring tribes. The tribes don't have a permanent government.
•Australia was decimated in World War III.
