*RECAP*

"I gotta get to the others."  She sarted walking back down the stairs that she had tripped on before.

"What others?" I followed the brunette and asked my question.

"If you keep stalking me, you'll see." I heard the smirk in her voice.  As we got to the bottom and turned, I saw on the lowest set of bleachers, a row of people I recognized.

'Justin and Logan I had hung out with the other day.  Is that Bailey? I saw him maybe a year ago.  He looks... Better.'

I sighed and squinted to see the two at the end.  They were girls, for sure.  But they were so bundled up I could barely make out faces or hair or anything.

I saw dirty blonde hair reaching from on of their coats.  'Abbie for sure' I thought to myself. But who was that girl next to her?  I took a few more steps after Ava.  None of them had seen me yet, they were all watching the game and trying to stay warm.

One more step.  that's all it took for me to recognize the other girl.  Platinum blonde hair peeked out from her hood.  I'd never seen anyone else with that natural hair color. I'd know that hair anywhere.

'Hayley.'

*END RECAP*

Hayley's POV

"RED CARD! GIVE HIM THE RED CARD!" I yelled.  Like I said, I really don't understand football...

I heard Abbie laughing beside me.  I turned my head and saw her looking at the field laughing.

"You really don't know anything about this sport..." Abbie sighed and pulled her hood over her dark blonde hair.

I rolled my eyes and laughed at myslef, "I am sticking with soccer. That sport takes skill. And I gots the skill!" I said pointing my thumb at my chest and smirking.

Abbie shook her head and laughed, "You keep telling yourself that, babe."  We both giggled our girly little giggles, and put our attention back on the game.

"Ava's taking forever..." Abbie sighed.  I agreed and looked up the bleachers to see her talking to some guy.  They were to far away for me to see, but I saw Ava talking to him.  Again Abbie and I turned back to the game and pulled our hoods father over our heads as the wind beat down over us.  Seriously, it had to be like 20 degrees outside.

We continued watching the game for the next few minutes, before I heard Justin, Logan, and Bailey saying something.

"Hey, man!"

"Haven't seen you in awhile!"

"Thought you couldn't make it!"

I ignored them, thinking that it was just one of their other little guy friends.

"Hey Abbie.  Hey, is that Miss Hayley Allen?" I turned my head to see Abbie smiling and a boy standing in front of us.

'Who's this? How does he know my name?'  No but seriously... Who was this guy?

"Yeah that's us!" Abbie giggled.  I knew that giggle... That was Abbie's flirty giggle she always did when she thought a guy was majorely hot.  But then again, who could blame her?  This guy was really attractive.  I mean reaallyyy attractive.  Like REEAALLLLYYYY attractive..

He had dark brown hair that curled a little on the top of his head, a few strands falling into his beautifulllll face.  His features were so visable, seeming to cast shadows on his flawless skin.  Not to mention his eyes... They were a gorgeous dark blue, with small flecks of light blue dotting all around.  To describe them better: an ocean.

But something about his seemed oddly familiar... I couldn't quite place it, but I knew this boy.

"Hayley it's been awhile!" I stared with confused eyes at this boy.  "At least four years, right?"

'Four years? But that'd be eigth grade...' And suddenly everything clicked. I felt like I was flooded in memories, and they were crushing me.

Those blue eyes, that perfect face, his voice, everything.  It was Drew.  Drew Parker.  The boy who I had fallen so hard for, and ended up hating him in the end.  The boy who had pretty much torn me apart.  The boy I had kissed, held hands with, and who had made me feel so special.  My poor little 8th grade self, destroyed by this one boy.

'This one boy who's standing in front of me now.'

"Drew?" My voice was quiet... Almost even a whisper.

He perfect little smile turned into his classic smirk. Now I remember him. That smirk reminds me of his selfish, no good, I-am-better-than-you attitude even more. I remeber the last time I talked to him,  that smirk was plastered all over his face.

"'Bout time you remembered! How've you been?" I narrowed my eyes at him, getting nothing but a look of confusion back.

"yeah, like  you care," I responded rolling my eyes.

'You're just as much of a drama queen as remember. Didn't do so well aorund boys either, as I recall," he just with a smirk.

'If ANYONE is a drama queen, it's you," I said taking two fingers and pushing his chest. To my supprise, it was extremely solid. Like rock.

He stumbled back a little but tried so hard to hide it. "Gosh, little girl got some meat on her bones," he said rubbing the skin I dug my fingers into. 'Maybe a little too much meat," he said looking at me from head to toe.

I stared in shock, "Excuse me,"

"Aww hon, come on, I might as well be honest," He just trying not to bring his rising smirk to the surface.

All the memories flooded into my mind once again. The humiliation, rumors, name calling, it all came back. The saddnes and hatred came wiggling its way back into my mind. The memories I tried so hard to forget.

I stood in front of him now, completely still.

He looked down at me with his beuatiful eyes I fell for many years ago. He gave me a concerned look then threw his head back into a small laugh. "I forgot about your anger management issues too."

Suddenly, something inside me snapped, the control i had tried so hard to keep was gone.

Abbie came up behind me and looked him straight in the eye. "Listen, douche bag, get the hell away from my friend. You gots some big problems of your own and I could always bring back that little insidentt in fifth grade. I think your game of "Wheel of making-people-feel-bad" is over. So just go and sit next to some clueless slut who would gladly throw her no-good body all over your plastered one."

He stared at Abbie in shock, I did too.

I mean I have heard Abbie diss people before and she can be quiet harsh when she wants to be but she was really making an effort here. She is an amazing friend, I must say.

Drew tried to conceal his suprise and then looked at us both. "Hey if I wanted a clueless, ugly, slut to play around with I would just come back to that. " He said pointing a finger at me like a was some rotten apple that was left out in the sun to dry up. This time it was Abbies turn to be shocked. She stepped forward.

"You little-" I put my arm infront of her, blocking her path to Drew and his face that Abbie could eaily pound.

Once he relized that Abbie was avancing toward him, he smirked, once again. he looked my arm and then back at me. He threw he head back laugh, "Even this helpless thing would do anything to persereve my handsome face from a mainiact." he just looking at Abbie uneasily and pat my head.

I droped my arm from Abbie and looked at Drew.

It took all my confincence to finally stand up to someone who I was scared of all those years. But I knew I had to do this. The fire burning inside me was insane and I knew I would never get another oppertunity like this again. I stepped forwardi balled my nervous hands into fists, and getting one last look at his perfect, smirky face.

Then with all my might, I swung.
