Finn POVI get into the elevator and push the lobby button. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna propose to Rachel. God damn. This is crazy. We got together one week ago. One week! Should I? No. Will I regret it? Maybe. I mean, last time was awful. I sent her away to New York City and broke her heart. The thing is, it doesn't feel like it used to with her. I was in love with her in high school, sure. But even though I had another girlfriend at Lima Community College, I didn't actually like her. It sounds bad to admit, but I was just using her to get over Rachel after we broke up. I was in love with her then, and I still am now. The only difference is that now we're older, and now I'm whipped.
Should I propose? No. Will I regret it? Maybe. But am I gonna do it anyway? Oh. Hell. Yeah. What's that saying? 'Someday someone will walk into your life, and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else.' That someone is Rachel. I step out of the elevator and into the lobby. I walk with my head high straight out of the lobby and onto the busy city street. New York, get ready. Soon-to-be-engaged Finn Hudson's comin atcha.
I whip my phone out of my pocket, and Google the nearest jewelry store. Good. There's one only a mile away. It will still take a while, though. I better call Rach and make sure she knows I'm not just going to the store.
The phone rings twice and she finally picks up.
"Hey, Finny! You don't have to go to the store. You didn't forget to buy milk. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, totally Rach. Listen. I'm gonna go.....work out? Yeah work out. I'm gonna go work out Rach." I nervously comb my fingers through my hair.
"Finn? You're going to work out? In those clothes? Aren't you wearing jeans?"
"I meant go shopping! I'm going shopping for some clothes that I can work out in....."
"Great! That's so good for you! You've really changed your life around in the past few days."
You have NO idea, Rach.
"Yep. That's me. I'm also going to shop for a new suit. I'm gonna need one, and YOU are going to need a fancy dress because WE are going on a date this afternoon."
"Oh my gosh!" She yells into the phone, making me wince. "Where are we going?"
"You'll have to find out Rach! Be ready by six, I should be home by then." I check my watch on my wrist. "It's 1:30, so that gives you four and a half hours to lay around and get ready, and me four-ish hours to shop and pick you up."
"You're the sweetest! Alright, see you later Finny. I've got to go pick out something that will make me look great!"
You and me both.
"Everything makes you look great, Rach. You're the most beautiful girl in the world."
"Haha, thanks, but I don't know about that. See you soon!" She cheerfully says.
"See you." She hangs up mid-sentence. That's okay. Off to the jeweler.Rachel POV
I hang up. Finn's shopping, and I have to get ready for our date. Four and a half hours. Geez. Do I even have anything to wear? I check my closet. Nope. Nothing. I know. Kurt! Maybe he can hook me up with a dress from the Vogue.com vault again.
I get up and walk to his room. He's just laying in bed on his phone. I think he just woke up.
"Hey. I need a favor." I say walking to him and sitting on the bed.

What Could Have Been
أدب الهواةSo, I think everybody knows about the tragic death of Cory Monteith, aka Finn Hudson. This is what could have happened (what I wanted to happen) if Finn/Cory had never passed, and he was in seasons 5&6 of Glee.
