I opened my eyes and I was in the hospital I sat up and there was a giant cast on my knee. I remember what happened. I went to go do the dunk I been practicing. I made the shot but my landing was off and I landed on my knee. Shit hurt like hell; but I was only off my game because my father and ex boyfriend showed up. Those men ruined my life and I was depressed for a while. Seeing them brought back bad memories making it hard to focus. But Brionna talk sense into me and that kiss she gave me helped. I sat up in my hospital bed and I was surprised to see her and Mercedes sitting in the same room and not arguing. But then again my mom was here and she wasn't going to put up with that. My friend Leila was here as well. They seen I woken up from surgery and they smiled and hugged me. A little while later the doctor walked in.

Doctor: How are you feeling

Nyla: Good how the surgery go

Mercedes: More importantly when she will be back in the gym to play

Doctor: You tore your acl apart and busted your knee open. The surgery went flawless but tell me do you have any feeling in your leg

Nyla: Actually no

Doctor: Yeah your going to be in a wheelchair for a really long time and I'm sorry but basketball just isn't a option for you anymore. I recommend you to a physical therapist but your mom decided she the best fit for you

Mercedes: She can't play ever again

Doctor: No I'm sorry

Hearing those words brought tears to my eyes. My mom held me as a cried. I was back in the dorm room by the next day. As I was getting comfortable in my room I got a call from the scholarship office. Mercedes helped me get there and then the news I got really hurt. They were taking back my scholarship because I can't no longer play. I couldn't afford this school on my own so I didn't have a choice. I have to leave and go back home. Mercedes helped me inside the room and then she gave me a look.

Nyla: What

Mercedes: I don't wanna be with you anymore. Our fairy tale has ended and if your not playing basketball you are useless to me you won't be able to support me anymore and now you're leaving campus. What's the point of us being together

Nyla: But I love you Mercedes

Mercedes: Well sorry I don't love you and love won't support me and you no longer have a future and your broke so see you around I guess

I watched as she left the room and Brionna was standing right there and heard everything. She took me into her arms and held me as I cried. My whole future was falling apart and I don't know what else to do in life. After hugging for a while she help me pack and I called my mom. I noticed Brionna was packing as well.

Nyla: What are you doing

Brionna: I'm not staying in a room with Mercedes

Nyla: But there's no dorms available

Brionna: I given back my scholarship I love dancing and cheerleading but you need a friend right now. College will always be here.............I let you get away once but not this time

Nyla: Why are you being so nice to me after I was cruel to you

Brionna: Because I love you and I have been from the moment I met you

She got closer to me and she kissed me. I just couldn't resist her. After making out and talking for a while my mom was finally here. She was cool with Brionna staying in the house with us. My mom would send someone to get our cars. As we left the college campus I just rest my head on Brionna shoulder. She kissed my head and held my hand. She told everything was going to be okay.
