Words left bruised lips, dripping and falling into empty air, swirling around the night, never touching the heart of the person they were meant for.
Aching hate worms it's way through tortured veins, creating an air of self hatred in such a beautiful body. Perfect magnets with potentially synced heart beats, both filled with horrid despair, feeding the distance between the two.
Wanting nothing more than to let themselves be perfect magnets, drawn to each other with such force... They skid fingers on top of puzzle piece palms, whispering excuses for not letting their atoms touch.
Light eyes meet dark ones and so much is said between the windows to the soul yet lips are left sealed, not uttering a single word. Needed words that are kept locked in a safe under the same beating hearts, afraid of letting them out.
Fear binds their bodies apart, each held in their own prison cell while standing so close to each other. Not being able to let go just yet, they stay in silence but uttering a cacophony of semi fake giggles with hidden words secretly telling the other of their passionate love.
If only they would just let go and work together. If they would only let themselves be the connecting magnets that they were; the perfect fitting puzzle pieces. If only they would allow themselves to whisper love between close lips and labored breaths. If they would just let themselves be the perfect magnets they were meant to be.
