Chapter 1-The Past

The past is scary and sometimes unbearable 

We don't want to look inside the book of fears but sometimes we have to 

We have to look inside the book to know why we are afraid or why we are in a place

(When the nurse took Nightfall to the hospital)

Nurse pov*

I look one last time in the back seat seeing the young girl.The girl I felt like I was rescuing but, maybe I was wrong.Maybe I wasn't saving her I thought taking her in it would help.I tried seeing if she would change anything or maybe if she would become normal.I tried giving her a normal life but, I guess I didn't try hard enough.I can't believe I'm doing this.I'm getting rid of someone because I can't handle her acting out.I need to protect my family.

*At the mental institution 

Luckily she is still asleep because if she was awake I couldn't do this.I grab her teddy bear knowing that if she doesn't it then she will go insane.I grab my purse and look for the cross necklace.I finally found it and I put it around her neck.She has never known about this and I feel so bad she will always be an unknown.She will never know her real mom or dad she doesn't know the information of her life.I wish I could help her but, I never could.I tried to hard but, sadly it wasn't enough.I hug her one last time before I lay her on the steps of the opening.I kiss her on the head and hug her one last time.I will miss her but, it's my fault.I should have got her help maybe it would have worked.I start to walk to my car when I hear her groan in her sleep "mommy." I knew right then and there I had to leave or I would have picked her back up.I get in my car and drive off with one tear rolling off my cheek.If only she was normal maybe I could have kept her.
