The Key To Happiness

chapter 1

Tobin was leaving for Paris today. She signed to play a year at PSG. She has been distance from her best friend Alex Morgan recently. Tobin loves Alex with all her heart. She feels that Alex doesn't love her back that's why she signed with PSG for a year. So maybe if she is far away from Alex she will lose her feelings for her.
But boy is she wrong.

Tobins parents are taking her to the airport. The drove down from new jersey to New York. She wanted to say goodbye to her teammates first then her parents. She knew it was going to be hard to say goodbye to Alex. But it had to be done.

"Tobs let's go to the lobby so you can say bye to everyone" Kelley yelled across the room. Tobin sighed and got off of the bed. She looked at the room one more time before heading out.

All day Alex has been wonder what she did wrong to her best friend. She doesn't know why tobin has been so distant lately. Easy to say Alex was worried. She has been pacing around the room for what seemed like hours. Syd finally had to stop her.

"Alex, Tobin is not mad at you so can you stop pacing your making me nervous." Syd said.

"well she hasn't talked to me all week, and she is leaving today" Alex said.

Syd just let out a huge sigh that she didn't know she was holding in. She went up to Alex and gave her a hug.

"everything is going to be okay" Syd said, trying to calm Alex down. Syd is the only one that knows she loves Tobin, but she is afraid that Tobin doesn't love her back.

"let's just go to the lobby" Alex said, leaving the room.

Alex and Syd arrived to the lobby and saw Tobin. Tobin was saying goodbye to everyone. Tobin wanted to say goodbye to Alex last. Tobin finally made it around to Alex. Without saying anything Tobin pulled Alex into a hug. Tobin knew she was going to miss this. She also was scared of what she was about to do.

"Alex I have to talk to you" Tobin said. Alex just nodded urging her to continue.

"I'm just going to come out and say it. I don't want to be friends with you Alex. Like at all" Tobin said, looking at anything but Alex.

"what. What did I do wrong" Alex said, in tears. Tobin hated seeing Alex like this.

"I'm sorry it just had to be done" Tobin said, trying to pull Alex into a hug.

"no Tobin don't touch me" Alex yelled. Everyone started to stare at them.

"how could you. You are my best friend. What did I do wrong Tobin. You mean so much to me. You are a huge part of my life" Alex said. Tobin was trying to calm her down. Then Tobin did the one thing she new Alex would never forgive her for.

Tobin slapped Alex across the face infront of everyone. Tobin immediately regretted it. Syd rushed to Alex's side.

"I'm fine Syd" Alex said harshly. She knew not to mess with Alex, when she was this mad.

"you know what Tobin maybe you right. I don't want to here from you, I don't want to talk to you, and I sure as hell don't want to see you ever again. So bye tobin" Alex said, storming off to her room, with Syd closely behind her.

Kelly went up to Tobin and gave her a dirty look. "Tobin I knew you were going to stop being friends with her, but why did you hit her, you of all people in Alex's life know that she was abused. And you just reminded her of it." Kelley walked away furious at Tobin.

"Kelley wait" Tobin yelled. But Kelley didn't turn around. Tobin immediately started to cry. She walked out of the hotel and into her parents car. Tobin thought to herself, this is going to be one long year.

Alex was in her room and just hoped in bed. Syd just watched her and gave her a confuse look.

"Alex what are you doing" Syd said.

"I'm sleeping what else" Alex said, in a duh voice.

"are you okay" Syd asked nervously.

"yeah why wouldn't I be" Alex said.

"okay" Syd left the room to talk to everyone.

Syd created a group chat she added Kelly, ash, Ali, pineo, and hope

Syd: guys Alex is acting weird.
Kelley: how
Ash: oh no are you guys thinking what I'm thinking
Syd: OMG
Pineo: oh no
Hope: someone catch me up
Syd: she is going to fall off the wagon again.
Kelley: oh shit
Pineo: someone go check on her right now.
Syd: she not in her room
Kelley: everyone split up and and find any close clubs. And check and see if Alex is in one of them.
