The Key To Happiness

Chapter 3

Syd and Kelley stood there shocked. A million of thought were running through their head.

"Syd how are we going to tell Tobin" Kelley asked worried.

"Well not to be rude. Isn't this what Tobin wanted. For Alex to move on" Sdy said.

"No not really she wanted to move on not the other way around." Kelley said.

"Well how is it fair for Alex. Tobin gets to move on but Alex doesn't. That's not fair, so I'm happy for Alex. She is finally moving on" Syd said, walking away. There was tension between Kelley every since she confessed about what Tobin said. They all can't believe Kelley kept it from them.

Syd walked into Alex's room. She saw Alex past out on her bed from alcohol. Sdy shook her head. "This is going to be alot harder then we think." Syd mumbled to herself.

"Tobin are you ready for practice" Lindsey yelled.

"Yeah on sec" Tobin yelled back.

Tobin has been getting along with all the girls. She and Lindsey have been good friends so far. Tobin likes how easy it is to talk to her. She feels like she can talk to her about anything. Tobin has told Lindsey all about Alex. Everytime Tobin cried Lindsey was there. She was greatfull.

After practice Tobin, Lindsey, and Laure all decided to go out for lunch. They all showered and went to some place Laure said, had the best burgers.

"So Tobin how have you been" Laure asked.

"I hanging on there I miss home alot" Tobin said.

"Well how do you like Paris so far" Laure asked.

"Its beautiful, it a good break from home" Tobin said, honestly.

"Well that's great" Laure said. It started to get awkward at the table. So Lindsey spit a spit ball at Tobins face.

"What was the for" Tobin said, trying to contain her laughter.
"Well two can play at this game" Tobin said, spitting a spit ball at Lindsey.

They where doing that until there food came out. They all devored there food.

"Wow Laure you are right." Tobin said, shocked.

"Told Yah" Laure said laughing.

"Are you guys ready" Lindsey asked. They all nodded and left to their rooms.

Tobin turned on the TV to sports center.

"Breaking two national team member are being trade to the new expansion team the Orlando pride. Alex Morgan and Ashyln Harris." The reporter said. Tobins face fell. "How can Alex do this to me" Tobin said, out loud. She caught Lindsey's attention.

Lindsey looked at the TV. She knew what Tobin was talking about.

"Tobin, you can't just move on she has to too, you know. It is probably hard on her too. So I get that your upset, but this is what you wanted remember." Lindsey said.

"Yeah I know but I didn't want her to get traded. We played on the Thorns together. When I came back I wanted to be on the same team. You know" Tobin said. Lindsey just nodded. Tobin turned her attention back to the TV.

"Here Is the interview with Alex Morgan" The TV reporter said.

"So Alex why is the reason you wanted to be traded, from the Thorns." The reporter said.

"Well I wanted to start fresh. I've been with the Thorns for three years, and I think it's time to start a new journey, with the Pride" Alex said.

"How did your teammates take the trade." The reporter said.

"They were happy for me. They understood where I was coming from. I will always miss them." Alex said.

"So your fellow teammate Tobin Heath just recently went to Paris. How do you feel about that. You two are best friends right" The reporter said. Tobin eyes widened waiting for Alex to answer.

"I'm happy for her, if that's what's she wants, I'm not gonna complain." Alex said. Tobin wanted her to answer the questions about the best friends.

"Are you two still friends" The reporter asked confused.

"Sadly we aren't. When people grow apart maybe it's for the best." Alex said, with a said tone. Tobin started to tear up.

"Well how do you think your season with the Pride is going to be"  The reporter said.

"I feel like we have a good group of players, we have developed a good working system. And we are ready for the Nwsl season to start." Alex said, excitingly.

"Well thank you Alex" he said.

"Thanks for having me" Alex smiled.

"Well there you have it folks" the host said. Sports center ended.

Lindsey was next to Tobin on her bed, waiting for Tobin to answer. Tobin just stood there shocked.

"Tobin I know what you mean by loving her" Lindsey said. Tobin gave her a confused look.

"What I mean is that she is super attractive. Sorry I've never seen her before" Lindsey said.

"It's fine. She is so beautiful" Tobin added. Lindsey nodded in agreement.

"Ash I can't believe you are going to Orlando with me" Alex said, pulling Alex into a hug. The only reason she agreed to go with Alex was because of Ali, Syd, and Kelley. They told her to keep an eye on her. So she is not out of control. Ash agreed.

"Well I didn't want to leave you alone" Ash said, lying through her teeth.

Alex let go of Ash and walked to her room to start packing.

Ash sighed and went to her room she shared with Ali.

"Ali, I don't know if I can do this." Ash said, honestly.

"Yes you can she is one of your best friends and she needs someone to go with her to Orlando." Ali said. Ash just nodded and brought Ali into a hug.
