Chapter 3

Willow's POV

I tried to act normal as I greeted them but Remus and I both tensed and the marauders could tell so they stayed knowing something was wrong. I walked up to my mother.

“Nice to see you mother.” I said then hugged her. She pushed me away and I stumbled but Sirius caught me. I stood back up and she glared at me along with my dad.

“I know what you have become you filthy mongrel.” She growled. My heart sank. How does she know? Remus knew what I was thinking and came next to me hugging me as one tear fell down my face.

“I don't ever want to see the two of you again. You are no longer my daughter you are a mutt and a mongrel and you are no longer my son you are a crazed monster.” She said. Then she walked away leaving me crying into Remus. I stopped crying for a second when I realized the marauders were still here. I spun around to look at their shocked and confused faces. Sirius and James both came up to me and hugged me while Peter just followed them.

“What exactly just happened?” James asked out of confusion. I frowned.

“Well I-I guess my mother just disowned me.” I said then started crying again. It was harder to say it then think it. Where are we supposed to go? Remus was shocked I could tell but he was trying to stay strong for my sake. Sirius hugged me again.

“Why did she call you a filthy mongrel and stuff?” He asked. Remus and I both tensed. I knew we would have to tell them but right here was not the best spot.

“Um- I can't tell you well not here at least.” I said quietly. They understood and let it go. We all walked over to a bench and sat down. No one said anything until we heard someone call Peter's name.

“That's my mom I have to go bye.” He squeaked and then disappeared into the crowd. We were all trying to think. Remus and I about where to stay and James and Sirius about our secret. I heard someone call James' name and then he smiled and stood up quickly.

“OVER HERE MOM!” He yelled over the noise. Then he turned to us smiling.

“Guys what if you come stay with me.” He said excitedly. I smiled but then frowned and Remus did the same.

“Will your mom be okay with it?” I asked. He snorted.

“Are you kidding she loves to have guests.” He said. I smiled again and turned to Sirius. He looked kind of sad about being left out.

“Sirius they could go to your house if you want?” James asked him. I nodded and Remus stayed quiet. Sirius jumped up.

“No they can't go there my house is horrible. I just wish I could go with you but I can't.” He said. I sighed and hugged him.

“Well okay we'll write and maybe you can come over.” I said happy. James and Remus nodded in agreement.

“Yeah that would be cool.” Remus agreed. Sirius smiled and turned away to leave but then turned back.

“What about that thing you have to tell us?” He said. My heart sank. What if the Potters don't want a werewolf staying there? Remus said something before I could.

“Uh- maybe we could meet somewhere private and tell you.” He said nervously. Sirius nodded.

“I know just the place I'll owl you.” He said. He hugged me one more time along with high fiving Remus and James then disappeared into the crowd. I sighed and sat back down on the bench with Remus while James flagged down his mother. I leaned my head on Remus and he put an arm around me.
