I slowly looked up to Grayson who was holding a sleeping Lexy.
"Yea"
"It's your birthday. Let's celebrate"
I stand up and grab Lexy then lay her down. She starting to move but was still asleep.
I walk into Grayson's room where he was laying down. I laid next to him and he kissed me.
"I got something for you."
"You didn't have to"
"Well it's your birthday so here."
Grayson gave me a velvet box that had a Ribbon tied around it. I opened it and there was a silver necklace. A heart was dangling from it and on it read 'I love you'
"I do Braelynn. I love you."
"I love you too"
I kissed Grayson but our moment was interrupted by people laughing below us.
"C'mon. Let's watch the fireworks with Lexy"
Gray grabbed Lexy and we looked from the tree house and watched the fireworks. I loved having fireworks every year on my birthday.
We put Lexy back to bed then we laid down together.
"Are you okay?"
"Yea. I love my necklace, and I had a great day today. But just the thought that my dad...."
"I know. I'm sorry"
"Thanks."
Grayson wrapped his arms around me then kissed me. I'm happy here. With Grayson and Lexy. Even though she is leaving soon. And I'm happy that I'm safe.
