By the end of the day, I was in a maze of stairs. Every turn was a new way to the castle, that's what I thought it was. Soon enough, I found a guard to lead me to the living room. I was so bored, I started searching the castle, avoiding all quirky stairways, looking for the man whom I had many questions about what he and his son said.
I ended in a massive room, probably three times the size of the living room. With ginormous windows and three gigantic chairs with gorgeous gold and silver threading. Uh oh. Not again. I investigated the "thrones" when someone walked in and scared me half-to-death. The other half was somewhere in Philp's room. The man was the one who removed the burlap and shoved me down. I started to get up when I remembered what Philip said to me. I waited to be asked to get up. But instead, he helped me up. "Your Highness, my name is Thomas. I will be taking care of your needs, except for the bathing and dressing, that is for your maids, whom I will introduce to you in a few minutes. I..." I cut him off right there. "I am going home and you cannot stop me." I started to walk away when he cut me off. "I will be taking you to see the king in a few short moments, once I get through the welcome."
"What welcome? I told you I am leaving now and you will not stop me." I started to walk away, again, when he cut me off and handcuffed me to him. He went on, "The king has chosen you to take the place of his beloved daughter, who passed away from a fever. Now that I am done, the king is very happy to meet you, Hope."
