I felt a tug on my arm. June was waking me up for my first royal dinner (Yah!! There was sarcasm in that). I got up and did exactly what they told me to do. They started with measuring my body for new dresses that will be made. Then, Alexandra started to mess around with my hair, probably to work out what looked good with my facial features and my messy chocolate brown hair. After Alexandra put my hair in the a beautiful crown braid with a small tiara in the middle, June chose a garnet red dress from the closet. It had a semi-sweetheart neckline, with diamonds lining the sem and a low back and flowed out at least a foot.
Stella started to work on the make-up. Telling me what is what and how to apply it, just in case they were busy and I had an important meeting, like that was going to happen. By the end of the process, which told at least an hour, I was ready to get into the pajamas and then, in bed. But, I was expected to be at dinner. Thankfully I remembered where everything was from the tour Thomas gave me.
I walked into the dining hall. Amazed. The ceilings looked twenty feet up with another grand chandelier. The king stood up and bowed. I curtsied back. I went to take a seat far from the king, when a butler guided me the the right side of the king. Philip walked in about six minutes after me. He was so adorable in a scarlet, button-up shirt and dress pants.
After Philip came and sat down, dinner began. Maids and butlers. Plate by plate. Goose. Greens. Potatoes. Duck. Chicken. More food than I could ever imagine. And the dessert. Oh. It was divine. A slice of Dutch chocolate cake covered in hot fudge with vanilla ice cream. Topped with chocolate flakes and a dollop of whipped cream.
During the whole meal, we stayed quiet. The maids came and picked up everything. All the food gone. All that was left was the dessert. But was picked up at least ten minutes after everything was gone.
I got up to leave, but was stopped by Philip. He looked at me, "Are you going to join us? We go play games after dinner every day." "Philip, don't bother her. She is probably tired," the king replied, trying to get his son to take the offer back. I turned to Philip, "I would love to!"
