I'm soo sorry it took so long to get chapter 4 posted!! I love you all for following me, reading LATE, and sticking with me through my frequent writers block. Hehe... so yeah! Here's chapter 4!
*~*~*
We pulled into the drive and the party was in full swing. The ground vibrated with music and people stood around everywhere, talking and drinking. Red solo cups littered the ground. “Why did I let you drag me into this again…?” I mumbled as we got out of Allie’s car. She just laughed and dragged me inside.
I looked around and saw slutty girls grinding on drunken guys in the living room, which had been turned into a dance floor. Down the hallway couples lined the walls, making out. Gross… I thought to myself as I tried to make my way to the kitchen. Allie ditched my side to go dance, and I just rolled my eyes and grabbed a soda from the ice chest. Popping it open and taking a cold sip, I just stood for a minute and watched the activity before me. I recognized many of the partygoers from school, but there were also some older looking guys and girls.
Which meant this was a college party.
Crap! Please tell me he’s not here, oh god. My eyes went wide as I realized that my 20 year old brother was probably here somewhere. He attended college in the next town over, and regularly went to parties in both towns. The only problem: He knew how much of a goody two-shoes I was and how much I followed mom and dad’s rules. He also would be the first to tell them that I broke a big rule and went to a party, and a college party at that.
I quickly scanned the room and didn’t see him, but I caught Allie dancing away. I pushed my way through the crowd and to her side, yanking on her arm. “Allie! This is a college party! Colin is probably here!” I whispered harshly, being as quiet as I could with the noise and music in here. She froze for a second, then put her smile back on and followed me out the back door. Making sure we were alone, I yelled at her. “College party?! Are you crazy?! Did the little fact that Colin goes to every party around slip your mind?!” She cowered slightly hearing the anger in my voice. “I’m sorry Sar, honest. It did slip my mind. I didn’t know this would be a big college party. I thought it was mostly high schoolers.” She glanced up at me with her bright blue eyes. At 5’7, I stood above her small, almost 5’3 frame. “Gah… fine. But we have to be extra, extra careful. If he catches me here I’m so dead with mom and dad.” I told her as I glanced at a figure in the doorway.
“Um, I think you’re boyfriend wants you back.” I winked at her as a blush crept up her cheeks. “He’s not… my boyfriend…” She stuttered. “Yet?” I teased her. She blushed a deeper red and I simply pushed her back towards the door. She grinned back at me and waved as she went inside. I sighed and took another moment of fresh, quiet air then followed her in.
As the party progressed I found myself dancing in the middle of the dance room with 2 other basically sober girls from school, who I sort of knew. We weren’t grinding, thank god. Just swaying to the music with our hands in the air. I caught the eyes of many guys, winking at them as I grew bolder. I knew my brunette-with-blonde-highlights hair drew many a guy’s eye, but usually I’m too shy or preoccupied to notice or care. Tonight was a whole different story though.
Suddenly the room stopped. I froze as the people around me blurred, and one person stood out. The person who locked eyes with me.
My big brother, Colin.

Hahaha! Cliffhanger!! >:D I don't usually do cliffhangers so you're welcome. XD I know you'll all hate me for it, especially since there's no telling when the next chapter will be up. Sorry! My weekends are busy at a temporary job, and 5 days inbetween is too short of time to get everything else done. Being a senior is hard work!
Anyways, vote and leave comments? (:
